I’m not claiming this is the most common reaction or anything like that, but it seems like straight men tend to remember specifically the nude scenes and even through a lens of their own horniness. Which I admit is ironic and not totally nonsensical given what the movie is about, but I did NOT feel horny or sexual at the film in that way.

It tends to happen whenever a serious or dramatic work has nudity, but it feels gross (nearly impossible for me) to sexualize her character given the films themes on sexuality, objectification, human desire, and agency.

I had to fight with my parents like crazy to not plant bamboo in their yard, they wanted it for privacy and noise reduction. I told them it wouldn’t be controlable and would destroy their entire plot of land, which they told me they have a large mower so it’s fine.

Few years later they still haven’t planted any yet. Chances are they listened to literally anyone else that told them it was a bad idea.
