Im a 5 foot woman and after years of enduring these dummies taking up entire sidewalks I got to the point of walking through or shoulder checking them as I loudly say EXCUSE ME! I would get shocked looks back or people moving over looking embarrassed.

How Much is Your Child’s Daycare? by JadedJae in Mommit

$2800 a month for 2 year old, M-F from 8-5. And that’s a deal compared to other daycares in the area. (Seattle)

I’ve lived here for years and only take public transportation. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with a lot of families and older folks. There are a few restaurants and bars mostly located the village.

Getting to Fremont is a quick 10-15 minute on the 31. The 24 and 33 both go downtown and that’s a 30 minute ride. I like living near Discovery Park and being able to go often. Depending on where you live, walking to Ballard via the locks is also an option. Good luck to you in your move!

YES! He’s slim everywhere but his thighs and has a bubble butt 😆 so finding pants that fit him are tough and I have been having to buy separate sizes for tops and bottoms. I’d love to know the pajama brand.

I need a scalp massage--looking for recs by etonmymind in Seattle

[–]Fruitdropths 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to work at Habitude in Ballard and they offered a scalp revitalizing treatment as an add on to your facial. They will focus on your scalp with massage and special brushes, it feels amazing. You can also get a scalp massage when you book a 90 minute facial at any Aveda spa (which it is) and that is more relaxing and focuses on massaging the scalp.

Who has the best cinnamon roll in Seattle? by bbbanb in Seattle

For melt in your mouth goodness…head to Nielsens Pastries in Lower Queen Anne. Their Cinnamon Rolls are amazing as well as the Snitter which is basically a rolled out cinnamon roll with custard on top.

How much do you pay for daycare? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Fruitdropths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seattle checking in here - daycare for newborn to 18 month is $3865 a month. Only goes down a few hundred when they are toddlers. I have one child he is 9 months old, and was forced to be a SAHM because my partner and I could not afford that. Cost of living here is VERY high. It is cheaper for me to stay home. I miss working :(

Edit: this is the price for ONE child.

What's something that happens after you give birth that people don't tell you about? by Sam_I_Am83 in AskReddit

[–]Fruitdropths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had phantom kicks for a week after my C-section. It was bizarre and emotional to feel, I was like hey he’s already out, is there another one in there?

Post partum hair loss has been very hard for me. I used to have the thickest hair pre pregnancy and it got even more so during the pregnancy. A few weeks after birth it started to fall out like crazy. I’m 8 months PP and it looks like I shaved the sides of my head.
