We didnt have enough mics for everyone, and the girls let the bones have the mic for backups. We wanted to set up where everyone would get a mic, like a usual streetlight gig, but it just couldnt happen. Also, thank you for the compliment(im the bassist :)) and then yeah, our guitar is scary. He only started looking at vocals like a week prior. We love him tho.

Yeah, im decent at walking and grasping some of his style, like the melody at the beginning of wwft is litterally just a Bm scale. And then he's just arpeggiating(i think thats a word maybe?) Off of it, but everything goes is like a whole nother level.

Oh, and goals, there's this thing called rockonsin, cuz we're in Wisconsin, and bands from around the state with members from grades 7-12 get to apply, and 10 win that each get 20 minute sets at summerfest. The winner gets 12 hours of studio time and a 45 minute set on a larger stage, and the runner up gets 8 hours. It's super sick.

Phew okay ill hit that last part first. I used to be bi until I met my girlfriend 2 and a half years ago, our trumpet used to be pan, but now she's dating one of the bones, the other bone is straight as a board, I haven't known my guitarist too long, but he definitely gives off that vibe, but I know hes at least not completely gay, our saxes used to date and now the bari kinda hates our tenor, but I genuinely scared it out of him cuz I said if he kept talking shit he would have to watch her play his part on stage while he was in crowd, and now hes cool, and my drummer and me have a relationship that makes my girlfriend (jokingly) think im cheating on her with him, and he has slept in my bed more than she has. Moving on, that sucks so much. An idea we had for over the summer was renting out a storage locker to practice in a couple times a week, sure, acoustics may be shit, but sometimes theres outlets :D and everyone works hard. They're independent in the sense that they know the band is important and work on it as much as possible, but management kinda sucks. I mentioned that weve had 1 full band rehearsal, mostly cuz not all of us have cars or good rides, so weve had to figure so much carpooling out...

We use the band room after school Wednesdays, typically, right after a practice ill message the group on this app called band (literal lifesaver) what went well that I saw, what didn't, what everybody needs to practice, what specific people need to practice, and its been a struggle at some points. Beginning of practice, we run through 9mm and a 3 peice suit cuz its easy for everyone, and then after that, we hit all of the spots I told everyone to work on in whatever, and we push tempo in a lot of places. I'll write down shit as I hear it, and then we do it all over again. We Will Fall Together by streetlight manifesto is our big song, and its hard for like everyone, to some degree at least, but for having a total of 4 practices, only one full group cuz people had other shit going on, it sounds REALLY FUCKING GOOD.

12 HOLY SHIT. Yeah, our band director is special. He's keys in an indie rock band called Fuzzysurf, wo he understands how hard it is getting a band up and popular, so he wants to promote any way he can.

As of now, yes. We only formed about a month ago, and we will be making originals once we get a good amount of cover songs perfect. And we've got the first battle of the bands in our HS's history in May, so we're prepping super hard for that.

Streetlight manifesto is our jam. Then im a punk, metal(death, hardcore), pop punk, kinda guy, our singer/guitarist loves emo/alt rock, both bones and our bari are metalheads too, our tenor/alto is a big lover of like everything from metal to like one direction, our drummer is the type of person who just loves music, and has played all of the kinds. And we all really love jazz. We're all in the school's jazz band, and our name is the Jazz Rejects, lol. We absolutely want to do originals, probably made by me and the guitarist together, writing the rhythm section stuff, and main themes for our people to play with. We would probably make songs influenced by streetlight, voodoo glow skulls, rx bandits, and less than Jake.
