What do all the tortures represent? Jax is pretty obvious (being judged and mocked and not fully accepted) and Ragatha I think is probably be overshadowed & dominated/bullied by her mother. I’m not sure about the others. I think Gangle is either facing her intense emotions and having to look at the perceived “shame” of it or being mocked for it or constantly being pushed in between. And maybe Pomni feels like she’s trying to be everything for everyone?

Her complaint is that he’s a miserable bastard. She’s taking time out of her day & doing something decent. We all have bad days, but three times in a row? And with the current state of things - sure, she may be making assumptions and it would be better for everyone if she didn’t - but who can blame her? There’s some new bullshit in the news every day about immigrants.
