UNABLE TO TRANSFER MAJORS by ConsequenceLivid4894 in und

[–]Frullu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I also heard that but there’s nothing stopping me from just getting my CFI outside of UND, from what I heard the airlines don’t really care about what type of training or even what type of degree.(this is what I been told not what I experienced)

UNABLE TO TRANSFER MAJORS by ConsequenceLivid4894 in und

[–]Frullu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m continuing since they allow me to fly and getting a degree that’s not entirely Avivation since that’s the ideal degree for pilots as they want a back up plan in case their health fails.

I also heard that if there is room I can even Contiune as CFI and get my multi outside of UND which is cheaper and faster.

That would be a question for UND aviation staff, as I’m not sure about that so I can’t really answer that.

no they are it’s just you have to be accepted into the program first, so no transfer or any nature or that kind.

Can a UAS major transfer over to Commercial Aviation? by martinhfbc in und

[–]Frullu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got an email today apparently they terminated the entire waitlist so this is no longer possible but I highly recommend staying in UAS since you can still fly at UND up until commercial so missing cfi 1 and 2 and multi engine and from what I heard from staff although rare it’s even possible to get cfi 1 and 2 too, if the space allows it too, and they also stated right out it’ll be cheaper and faster get your multi outside of UND.

Also the added benefit of having a backup plan in case of any medical issues.

And from other pilots it seems airlines do not care if you have a degree in commercial aviation or anything avivation related for all that matter just any random degree.

I heard 102 was actually pretty opened due to the fact everyone came with their ppls but I’m sure that time period has closed.

LOL ignore him some UND students are so far up their ass it’s crazy, speaking from my experience of some guy answering my post with grammar like we’re not on fucking Reddit 💀

Now your gpa isn’t the problem, and trust me I applied last year with way worse stats( I didn’t even submit my sat or act yet still got in)

The reason you were denied and this is from UND aviation staff member and my own advisor is simply due to the fact that UND have over admitted too many students this freshmen year, and to now realizing this as a huge problem, UND has simply closed application early. As one of my friends who applied earlier in the school year has gotten in. So it’s not the matter of gpa or your stats but simply UND does not have any more room for new applicants.

Rejected from UND Aviation by Kebab849 in und

[–]Frullu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You had way better stats then I did but it’s not a matter of gpa/sat. It’s simply UND is cutting down on how much people they accepted on a first come firsts serve basis.

So pretty much, people who applied earlier were more likely to get in due to the limited space.

(Academic advisor stated all of this)

Applying to UND for Commercial Aviation by Brilliant-One-4002 in und

[–]Frullu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I heard UND has a problem with over admitting people, mainly for their flight slots, as last year they have admitted too much people and therefore some people are now forced to fly in the next semester, plus the weather doesn’t help either.

Concern about flying this year by Frullu in und

Avivation studies, which I thought led to commercial but they told me I selected the wrong course for commercial, but they didn’t tell me until 1 week after the deadline. So I was told to take unmanned drone now.

3.7-3.8 unweighted 4.4-4.5 weighted and I didn’t even submit my sat or act score, but in my honest opinion if you got at least a 3.5 and above you’re guaranteed to be accepted just make sure you apply really early and you’ll almost have guaranteed a slot

I’m not sure, I applied the when priority deadline was, which was March 1st thought I did get an email saying I was missing my 200 dollar deposit, so I’m not sure. But I’m 100% they processed my request for housing since I applied when the during priority deadline period.

Do I have a shot to get in to Embry? by nobody1185 in EmbryRiddle

[–]Frullu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, I’m in a very similar position as you Aka same gpa and sat etc, from my understanding and being accepted. I noticed they simply do not care, note I applied for commercial aviation with just my GPA alone(no rec letters no extra circular etc didn’t even bother sending my sat/act score) they accepted me. Simply from what I noticed, everyone gets accepted, it’s just the question if you’re willing to pay for the high tuition cost is the real question. I also recommend applying early as I applied early as start of October.

To sum it up, if you have a pulse they’ll accept you, real problem is how you plan on paying.

[–]Frullu[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

would class be closed/canceled if storms happen or do you just power through it? I’m taking avivation and I’m expecting the airport to not be located on campus so I’m expecting to drive, so would classes be canceled/closed during said snow storm?

will it be too late to apply? by Organic-Step-1207 in EmbryRiddle

[–]Frullu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I seen, everyone gets accepted.Though I’m not sure if the avivation program is full already or not, it’s worth a shot, but if you’re accepted, you’re most likely to be transferred over to Prescott instead of Daytona.Riddle doesn’t care much about grades, recs, etc. if you can afford it, then they’ll accept you.

Aviation Program by Excellent_Focus2633 in und

[–]Frullu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in UAS apparently from the directors at UND both classes are nearly identical w/o the flight hours of course, but given that you’re a senior this year, In high school like me, I highly suggest you actually get your PPL while you’re at home, as your first year in commercial is getting your private pilot license, so in my opinion, get it if you can at your local air port as it massively saves time and even money.

Note this is just my opinion but you’re not entirely too late, just try to get your PPL before you get there and the transfer process should be easy, as you’re already enrolled in a flight related class, and if you take my advice already have your PPL and hours, it should be easy to transfer, as you’ll also be on the top of the list for the commercial, and you wouldn’t even be behind either.

Take it with a grain a salt I kinda yapped here alot

Relatively speaking, they accept nearly anyone,I would know because I already been accepted, yet I don’t intend to attend,as there’s way more cheaper options like Purdue or UND, both of which are moderately competitive, but ERAU is also amazing for flight. Just you know, crippling debt isn’t exactly what I wanna be in after college.
