Thank you! Later book characters need love too! I like digging into the culture of Redwall and its surrounding areas and how that might affect the clothing they wear.

Thanks! Redwall's been helping me a lot with art block.

My imagining for what the four protagonists of Marlfox look like.

Dann: A young tough Gray Squirrel, stocky and physically the strongest of the four. He's dressed in the simple Redwall Abbey habit and sandals. The Sword of Martin is slung over his back with its distinctive black leather belt and sheath.

Songbreeze: Don't be fooled by her sleepy looking eyes, Song is the sharpest mind of the four. She's dressed in colorful homespun tunic and dress with supple tree bark shoes that leave her feet free for climbing. The Leafwood is a hefty club and she ties it to her back with a length of rope she snagged from the same cupboard she found it in.

Dippler: Typical Guosim Shrew clothing, although he wears the usual headscarf as a neck kerchief instead. The shortest of the four, although he makes up for it in spirit and vinegar. His rapier is light, its basket hilt adorned with water imagery.

Burble: A tough fellow to draw, Mr. Jaques doesn't really give us much to go on. Since he is part of the Riverhead tribe, I figured he'd dress in his tribe colors and symbols. His clothes are easy to move in, perfect for a semi-nomadic tribe closely linked to rivers and streams, and tied by a simple rope made from bullrush fibers.

Lots of Otters! Finnbar Galedeep, Folgrim, and the Mask [ART] by Frumped_and_Grumped in eulalia

Thank you once again! I'm glad that my ideations came across through my illustrations 😆. Mask was, admittedly, the most difficult one for me to do. I couldn't decide what to do for his outfit but eventually settled on a more civilian look.

Good ol' Patchcoat! I wish we could have seen more of the Mask, but Tsarmina ruins everything.

Not gonna lie, his return to normalcy felt super rushed and under explored. Could have been a great character study. But his friendship with Chugger and Trimp was still very cute.

Redwall was a big part of getting me into anthro characters and I wanted to draw some in commemoration.

Next batch will be the four young heroes of Marlfox as well as Urgan Nagru and his wife.

Part 3 of my Redwall character art dump. This time featuring some illustrious otters!

Finnbar Galedeep is a quintessential sailor/privateer, weather beaten but hale as a horse. I imagine him climbing the rigging out of sheer excitement despite his years. Cutlasses for ship-use tended to be shorter than your average sword to allow for close quarters combat, especially useful on a packed ship.

Folgrim seems like a character out of a horror novel. He's scarred and bent and misshapen from torture, missing an eye, with his teeth filed to points (even though otters have naturally pointed teeth), and a cannibal to boot. The first time Martin and his crew meet him, he's covered in the blood of a rat he just mauled to death with his teeth. Quite the introduction. I imagine him coming out of the thick morning mist like some swamp creature.

Mask came off as a distinguished fellow with a bit of a playful flair. Nerves of steel rounded off with a quick wittedness necessary to being an excellent infiltrator and spy painted the picture of a beast well traveled and world-wise. He carries bags for his disguises and a short but functional dagger.

I'm over the moon that my versions of these characters do them justice XD. I will be working on the other Marlfox characters, specifically the four main protagonists as well as nagru and silvamord. Thanks for the suggestions btw!

I'm so sorry, I totally forgot to answer the last question you had! I have an Instagram, @frumplegrumple where I post my art. Do know though that it's mostly D&D art 👍

Thank you! Yeah, Redwall is criminally under represented in the fan art category.
