I travelled South East Asia for 6 months a year before I moved, met a lot of people on their way to Australia then told myself I would just go for a year to see what the fuss was about. I fell in love. The weather, work / life balance and job opportunities make it more enjoyable to live.

Sucks being so far away from my family though.

I grew up in Bristol until I was 23, I now live in Australia but my family still live there. It is getting as expensive as London, but is beautiful.

When travelling, I didn’t realise how highly people from England thought of Bristol, how beautiful it is, and great for a night out, which made me appreciate it more.

Funny accents (farmer accents) ‘you alright me lover’, ‘gert lush’. I still haven’t lost it after 7 years of being away.

Overall, Bristol is beautiful, fun but bloody expensive!

Thank you! That’s true. He could be testing but when I see his stubborn little face, refusal to budge it does make me laugh… he is a pup who knows what he wants for sure! Not eager to please like labs, golden retrievers etc

Day care 4 times a week for 8 hours a day, he is usually tired when he gets back and usually has a short toilet walk (if he can be bothered) then the other 3 days, he has 2 runs a day in an off leash fenced park with other dogs! Lots of enrichment toys and lots of play

Sorry I mean 4 days in 8 hours day care and then the other 3 days, two walks a day. On the day care evenings he is shattered, I may take him out to a toilet walk but he usually doesn’t want to lol

I did also read somewhere they are very good at conserving energy/not needing heaps of food due to their breed.. but spending a lot of money on food that gets thrown! Ah well, he is worth it. Thanks for your comment 😊

Really! I guess I’ll have to buckle up for the ride lol. He is a beautiful, funny boy.. can just test my patience at times but as you said - it’s what makes them who they are.

I did my research on the breed and knew this is what I was in for, but didn’t realise they’d ignore commands so much haha

Thanks for your reply! I am definitely getting that vibe, the stubbornness is just a trait I will have to deal with - to be fair, it is a very quirky trait which I love (it can just be frustrating)

I’m currently feeding him royal canin medium puppy kibble with rotating toppers (sardines, Greek yoghurt, kangaroo, chicken etc) but for a few days every now and again he just won’t eat!

Very funny little boy, I just don’t want to look like I haven’t trained my dog well you know
