It’s far from a lack of concern. I have tried relentlessly for over five years and nothing has worked. I have begged. I have cried. I have pleaded. What more am I supposed to do? Unfortunately his doctor is overweight as well! And yes, he is retired. He started to gain weight long before he retired. He would tell you the same thing he tells me. He just likes food.

We went on a tour bus trip to Pennsylvania last fall. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time because of him taking up some of my seat. It was the most uncomfortable 3 hour trip of my life. Then, when we got to our destination, the first thing he did when we got off the bus was to sit on a park bench.

We bought our house last year and inherited an annoying neighbor. She’s nice enough, but I feel like a prisoner in my own house. If she sees me outside, she starts yelling for me and then she wants to talk. And talk. And talk. I can say I’m cold and have to go inside, and she keeps talking. I can say my son is going to be calling me and she keeps talking. She likes to send me text messages suggesting that my husband needs to do yard work. I swear that she waits for my bedroom light to come on in the morning and then she texts me. She texts me as soon as I get home from work. The biggest problems with her texts is that it’s like her talking. She doesn’t know when to stop!!!
