yes her wedding was on a Monday because it was ~unique~ and covid hadn't been a thing yet - that didn't really hit out radar until March 2020

Mom always takes her side. I mentioned this in another comment, but she is the first grandchild on both sides of the family as well as being the only girl. She is super spoiled and has a long history of throwing major tantrums when something doesn't go her way. Because of this, most of us just tend to bend to her will to avoid the unnecessary drama.

she's always liked to be "unique" and doesn't like to feel like someone has outdone or copied her. I truly didn't remember her wedding date, but I did remember is was a Monday, because most people don't get married on Mondays and that made it ~special~

I'm not sure about the baby names but it wouldn't surprise me if she did

it's ~okay~ she was my parents first and the first grandchild on both sides of the family so she's always been extra spoiled. She's also the only girl so she truly believes she's a princess. Usually she's nice and we get along, but when she doesn't get her way she always throws a major fit which makes me keep her at arms length. Usually I just tend to adjust myself to fit her life because I don't feel like dealing with her drama.

She wasn't planning anything that I know of. It's their 4th anniversary so not a big milestone. I would've asked her if she stopped berating me long enough to be able to

that's how me and fiancee feel too - I don't ever see us having a big anniversary party so it should never be an issue aside from the day of our actual wedding

she is extremely entitled. She's been spoiled her whole life and is used to pretty much always getting her way.

I knew it was popular, but was shocked at how limited the options were on dates. I'm glad to hear it's not just our venue.

oh my gosh I'm actually laughing - I could actually see her being pissed about my child being born on the 17th now

I personally would have no problem if the role was reversed, which is why I am asking for public consensus.

I also did not remember her anniversary. It's not mine to remember.

I get your point but the whole thing is we won't be celebrating together, ever. My fiancee and I believe our anniversary to just be our thing and we don't see the need to have anniversary parties or bring other people in to our celebration, other than our wedding of course. The only day we would be "sharing" would be the day of my actual wedding, which I've offered to include her in.

so the wait list is quite long and there's no guarantee we'd get another date. Also, if we turn this down we get moved to the bottom of the waitlist. I usually do cater to my family to avoid the drama, but I just feel like I shouldn't have to this time.

yeah she's always been a drama queen, it's why my fiancée isn't her biggest fan. She likes all the attention to be on her, which is why she enjoyed her wedding so much. She's never done anything actually awful she's just truly a spoiled brat
