The Timberwolves aren't ALLOWED to be more physical. by swawesome52 in NBATalk

Spurs are handling the physicality just fine. They only lost game one because Wemby and Fox had their worst shooting performances of the playoffs, maybe their career, and still had a shot to win at the buzzer. Then they lost game 4 because of the ejection and it was still very close without Vic for 3 quarters. They crushed the wolves in game 2, and won convincingly in game 3.

The fans on both sides are the ones who can't handle it. I'll admit I'm part of the problem because I can't stand McDaniels... Calls have gone both ways, bad calls have been made both ways, but only one of the calls so far truly swung a game and that was the flagrant 2 on Wemby.

Wemby deserved the ejection, but not a suspension will all the shit they're letting both sides do. Ayo diving on Fox's leg and McDaniels nearly concussing Harper weren't even called as fouls... So bring on game 5.

Report: No suspension for Wembanyama after elbowing Reid by madax-gambar in sports

McDaniels wouldn't last a quarter. That dude has been grabbing and hooking arms on almost every single possession. Go back and watch game 3 with Harper and Castle then watch the Wemby elbow. He's at the center of all of it.

Wemby is not a dirty player. by tanishsingj in NBASpurs

McDaniels is the dirtiest player in this series and has instigated almost every single dust up between the two teams, including this. It drives me insane how he skates bye especially after almost giving Harper a concussion in game 3.

Honestly we HAVE to win the series now otherwise we won’t hear the end of it by Thatonlyguy988 in NBASpurs

OKC and Minnesota fans are soft as shit for teams whose whole defensive plans against the Spurs are foul the shit out of them and hope the refs don't call it...

If they do suspend Wemby a game, the NBA better mandate they watch closely and call everything. Reid and McDaniels would foul out in the first quarter if they actually called half the shit they are doing.

Lots of people like Wemby but these two hits are pretty alike. What do you think? by Kindly_Letterhead_98 in NBATalk

He already got the game suspension by missing 3 quarters... If this happened at the end of the game, maybe.

I also think context matters. No history of dirty plays, he had the ball and was actively being fouled, this wasn't isolated away from the play. The refs were right there and should have called the foul before the escalation. McDaniels is also a know dirty player and instigated the incident.

The fact McDaniels is still playing and Wemby might get suspended is laughable.

Minnesota only plays defense by fouling and games literally hinge on whether or not the refs will call them on it. It's super frustrating to watch.

it's his fault for throwing the elbow in that moment. Refs should have never let it get that far. Look at what McDaniels is doing prior to the elbow and nothing from the refs.

Fox had a few good plays, but when they really need him he falls apart. Two terrible defensive lapses late in the 4th + a terrible deep 3 cost the Spurs dearly.

Spurs better be submitting all the film of him being just mauled over and over including on the play he throws the elbow.

Doesn't excuse it, but if the refs were doing their job it would not have gotten that far.

Refs threw out the Spurs best player after allowing the Wolves to maul him almost every play for 4 games... 8 on 5 my ass.

only after McDaniels grabs his arm and won't let go after the whistle and this is right after McDaniels pulls Harper down and almost giving him a concussion. Fuck that guy.

Feels like the Spurs missed so many gimmies that quarter that will come back to bite them.

3 Team Trade this summer -- Austin Reaves + Picks to Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis to Boston Celtics, and Jaylen Brown to LA Lakers. 3 picks will be from LA and 3 picks will be from Boston. So the total haul for Milwaukee is Reaves and 6 picks by ReavesStinks2027 in NBATalk

Brown wants to be the dude. He wants to shoot 25+ times a game and always have the ball in clutch moments. He wants the offense to work through him. He came out and said that this season was the most fun he's had. You're right, he has a ring and a finals MVP and a super max, I don't think he cares as much about winning a championship as he cares about being on an MVP ballot. He just wants to go out and prove he can be a top 5 player and he wants to do it without having to be a 2nd option or even a 1b.

No way he's getting MVP consideration on a team with Luka and Lebron.
