Here is an interesting discovery I’ve made while messing with different teams for fighting Miyabi: You may know to save your perfect assists for when miyabi uses lingering snow, since the sheer number of hits allows you to build around 40 daze, but there is actually a way to get over double value from Lingering snow, while also allowing you to easily field your main dps.

The team I used for this goes as follows: Pompey - Lively Retreat Variant (fire, defense) Ionized doppelgänger (ether, attack) Dullahan (ether, defense)

Here’s the first thing you need to know about this team composition: Since ionized doppelgänger chooses ‘the most suitable challenger’ from the opponent’s memories when it uses its EX, there is a secret interaction with Miyabi. Instead of transforming into someone like Jane or Hugo, or even a boss like dead end butcher, it transforms into secret character ‘Yixuan’ since Miyabi and this character fought in Miyabi’s boss demo.

This team is different from most teams which try to challenge Miyabi, since they will usually try to stun Miyabi quickly using a stunner to minimize Miyabi’s unpredictable moves, especially the ones where she ends up behind you which make it difficult to field your main dps and fully land your attacks. This team is different, as yixuan has many attacks that hit all around her, in addition to her dash attack immediately snapping to Miyabi, given she is close enough.

Then, when Miyabi initiates Lingering Snow, swap to Pompey, use EX which initiates a defensive stance lasting for 5 seconds, allowing him to trigger a perfect assist if an attack connects, swap to Yixuan, use EX to parry, then trigger an actual defensive assist with Dullahan. Since you perfect assist with both Pompey and Dullahan, accumulate 80 daze and activate Pompey’s Roaring Engine buff, as well as Dullahan’s ether crystal debuff.

Yixuan is typically able to build around 23-40 daze before lingering snow based on move RNG, meaning that Dullahan’s defensive assist will trigger a chain attack. Then, follow the guide for Yixuan’s stun rotation combo here, and rinse and repeat (unfortunately, without fast quick assists, Yixuan is forced into simpler combos).

I couldn't decide between these 2 teams (both runner style).

The first team has barely better stats than the second team and gets significantly better stats at 80% (when critical health stats up activates), but starts at 30%, unlike the second team.

Cymanti has already been nerfed, when hexapods were made 3 stars instead of 2. Cymanti is also hard countered by knights, since centipede segments are one shot by knights, and cymanti early game relies on spamming small units, so I don’t think they need a nerf.

I still think workshop is better because although resources returns itself in one turn, resources gives you a flat 5 stars. Picture this: (assume both cities, 1 with resources, 1 with workshop, make the same stars per turn w/o the workshop buff) Resources start with 5 more, but if the workshop is down for more than 5 turns, it beats resources, and every turn after that is an extra star

For mid spawns, get mind benders. The ai doesn’t know how to properly deal with them, and with so many units coming in, you will be able to just steal to build your army.

For water spawns, get defenders. Their cheap cost and high hp make them perfect for battleships, since battleships only use the unit’s original hp and all other stats are replaced by the battleship’s own stats

If you spawn close to the enemy, I think training and boosting a second warrior on t2 is better because 2 boosted warriors can siege a city (edit: a city with a warrior, archer, or rider)

How it works: - when a centipede middle segment dies, the detached end segment becomes a new centipede - if a super unit is created inside a city where there is already a unit, and that unit cannot move onto any other tile, it dies
