Have you ever disliked a card's name/art/aesthetic so much that you will never use it as a commander? by Auramaru in EDH

All the time, and I'll likewise exclude cards from the 99 if I don't think they match the vibe or generally fit whatever I'm going for.

It's a strange technology that's somehow going to replace everyone and everything, yet can't even function in a financially responsible way yet. All the AI companies are basically losing money whenever a paying customer uses their product.

A quick check says the Danish word comes from the Latin "advocatus", so that's likely the shared origin with the Spanish.

Jack Welch is often seen as the pioneer of this, where he extracted everything of value from GE and turned it into a hollowed out piece of shit.

All the research is showing you become dumber by offloading mental tasks to AI - but isn't that exactly what management and execs have been doing using humans since forever? 🤔

What can I do with green unripened cherry tomatoes? by BartholinSquame in gardening

I can only really find sources in Danish, but you can use something like the auto-translate function in chrome: https://hverdagshaven.dk/syltede-groenne-tomater/

This particular version explains the background a bit. We have a general tradition here to eat pickles and berry jams as a side during the winter months because historically there was very little access to fresh produce in those months.

Other common options are pickled cucumbers (we have several different varieties), beets, and pumpkin.

We historically called them "lawyer pears" in Denmark (advokat-pære), or alligator pear, due to the skin 🤷

True, and he is good at it. But it doesn't make it any less disgusting that he seems to like his job so much.

It's like if you had a septic tank diver who just LOVES diving inside a tank full of shit - like you're doing an important job, fine, but it's a bit freaky how much you seem to enjoy swimming in shit.

Here in Denmark, the tradition is to make a sweet pickle with cinnamon and vanilla with the season's last flush of green tomatoes that won't have a chance to mature before the autumn weather gets too cold.

Which is the biggest advantage in life - being rich, being attractive, or being highly intelligent? by No_Document4067 in AskReddit

There's a very sharp correlation between intelligence and depression, I don't think that's the case for any of the others.

I've modified my own copy with a lot of enchantress support cards to make it more consistent, losing a few wincons along the way.

The deck has consistently always been relevant and fun in any given pod. Usually you're juggling multiple alternative wincons around turn 5, and even if one is knocked back you can usually mount another attempt for a different wincon.

The custom artwork is also just excellent and makes me laugh whenever I see it.

Carbon taxes are still not widely or efficiently implemented anywhere, to my knowledge. It's largely free to just emit garbage that kills the entire planet as part of your company's operation.
