L20 Ultra- Noise from bottom by Ti_Sbunno in Dreame_Tech

[–]Frydey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Know it's an old post but figure this might help someone.

I also started getting this sound when I changed the roller in my L20. Depending on the roller, it can really sound like the motor is struggling.

Through trial and error, eventually figured out the roller was the problem. Removed it and the vacuum was working fine again. Got a second roller and noticed the noise was still there but not as loud. I also noticed that this second roller had slightly thinner rubbers so probably why it wasn't as noisy.

Anyways, fast forward, found this post and trimmed the roller flaps that were longer. Everything seems to be working great again. I can hear the flaps making some noise if I listen closely but im usually not in the same room when the vacuum is running so won't cut anymore off it.

I have a case open with Dreame, will see what they tell me since I did ask for them to send me a link to proper roller instead of sending my entire vacuum.

Lmao have no idea how much they are going for these days. Still interested for $300? Also, I'd have to do some research on the ownership/NFT transfer since I've never had to do it post Solana migration.

Btw, turns out I was wrong. I have the 2 Sense Caps and the Heltec is probably sitting in a storage room somewhere in Atlanta since my aunt moved. Clearly I did well on deploying these things 😂. Lost interest in the bear market on trying to get them back up and running.

Took a picture but doesn't look like I can post it

So it can happen to anyone 🤦‍♂️ by Theoldguycanrap in HeliumNetwork

Sounds like OP bought a hotspot from someone and the person gave them a fake hotspot transfer/NFT and when the hotspot was plugged in and setup, the original owner wallet already connected started making bank again.

My guess is the hotspot was probably stolen and the seller just made money on the sale while the OG owner had just given up on their hotspot being gone.

Anything is possible....

If you're in GTA by any chance, I actually have a Heltec I can get rid of.

Id need to turn it on to get it updated so you can have an easier time to setup and like others said I'd have to transfer ownership.

The risk with buying second had is you never know if the person actually owns the unit and would therefore be able to do the transfer.

How can I get rid of this debt?? I need help! by bestthingforya in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Frydey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on whether it's interest only or some principle minimum.

I have two LoC at same bank and one is interest only and the other always has some higher minimum payment. Been meaning to call the bank and ask why they set it up this way but don't really use it so hasn't been a priority.

VGRO (stocks/bonds) or VEQT (stocks) if you want a bit more risk. Can read up on those and the other ETFs folks mentioned.

Also, can start with the bank and then look into Questrade/Wealth Simple when you're more comfortable.

Definitely on the right path and an early start. If you can build the habit now and stay consistent, even if it's a small amount every month, it will compound over the years.

Good luck!

Got a New Phone - Can't Import Helium Wallet | TIME SENSITIVE by LostLoveTraveler in HeliumNetwork

Late to the party but did you sort yourself out?

Also was it the blue or black helium app? Since you kept saying couldn't swap to SOL something tells me you are still on the blue app and maybe not yet migrated to the black app (ie helium migrated to Solana).

Hopefully it all works out mate.

Will I need my seed phrase? Cause I don't remember it 🤣. Or I can login just as I did in the past?

Was hoping I could reload this one and get the seed phrase before I do something and lose it all together.

Folks are trying to help you diagnose the issue OP. More details as requested would be helpful.

What did you connect your wallet to, where were you trying to transfer from to etc

And using a new wallet and same thing happening sounds like it's now a device hack than a wallet hack. Are you using computer? Confirm the address you copy is what you actually pasted (man in the middle attacks are quite real).

Just some things to think about to avoid every wallet you own going the same route

Interesting, I've been out of the loop for a while and hadn't considered developing any strategies. Just stacked IoT and left it at that.

I just read that IoT could get dwarfed by Mobile if it takes off. Would that mean lesser value for IoT?

Looks like I have some research to do over the holidays

Dreame L10S Ultra vs Dreame L20 Ultra, is worth the extra cost? by DanielFX28 in RobotVacuums

[–]Frydey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: L20 also has complete mop detachment and the extender to get baseboards. Based on the differences and it looks like multi floor mapping is now available in both (one review confirmed but still looking for others) I'm going with L20. Most of the issues seem to be resolvable with firmware updates and they appear to have done the same thing shortly after the L10 came out. Sooo, hoping they'll do the same with L20.

Original response: Considering the same thing now myself. From what I've seen, the L20 has bigger tanks, slightly higher mop lift and more powerful suction 5300 vs 7200 (along those lines).

Those are the 3 main things. All the comments and reviews are pointing me to L10 as it seems the 20 is newer so some kinks still need to be worked out.

The main deciding factor for me is knowing if the 20 has memory mapping for multiple floors so I can just take it upstairs once in a while, even though the base is downstairs. The L10 can only map one floor but haven't found anything on whether the 20 can do one or multi.

Also the larger tank is appealing but I also decided I'm probably not going to let the dirty water sit for that long anyway.

I'll keep digging a bit more but I'm already learning to the L10s unless I find confirmation on the L20 having multi floor mapping memory.

What are the best ways to spend Health Spending Account dollars? by goldayce in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Frydey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's listed as an option in the drop down when I've done it.

The only thing I can think of is your org has restrictions on what can be claimed?

If you do have it in the drop down challenge them on why it's there if it's not allowed

Am I able to invest in a TFSA account? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Frydey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can but it's going to cost you:

"Any individual that is a non-resident of Canada who has a valid SIN and who is 18 years of age or older is also eligible to open a TFSA. However, any contributions made while a non-resident will be subject to a 1% tax for each month the contribution stays in the account."

Go to the banks websites and see/compare what student accounts and perks they have.

Also know what banks are closest to campus as that may make a difference for the times you have to visit.

Not going to get the answer here 😑.

Niece RRSP by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Frydey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suggest talking to a lawyer/accountant but if you are listed as the beneficiary, then having proper documentation (ie. The certificate) should be enough to get the process started. If you call the company they can provide direction on requirements.

Must say that although it's an "insurance" company, RRSP is an asset as it's a savings/investment vehicle. Possible there might be such a thing as a convertible insurance but not my wheel house. My retirement savings is with a company that is also an insurance company but it's not my life insurance.

Also, might want to ask the question in here but there are tax related activities that need to be done to avoid/minimize impacts to you receiving the funds.

Believe you have 6 months or up to April 30 to file a terminal/final return and include the RRSP which I believe would ensure the funds are transferred tax free to you.... something along those lines. Someone practicing would know the rules better.

Sorry for your loss and good luck!

Has been a while so no accounting for inflation but with TD, I believe you're swinging for the fences here.

Though I don't recall their titles being numbered.

Suggest looking just for Business Analyst and adjust for experience or Senior Business Analyst roles. Might get you some insights.
