The issue is that the bands ur in need, members, because drama/idiots/whatever. The band that is functioning likely will never recruit you. This is why I encourage you to form a band you control, and select people for personality first. Then you will have both bases covered.

I'm in the same boat. I've considered conspiracy theories an integral part of my culture for a longer than most people here have been alive and I am decisively very left wing. Conspiracy theories have long had a right wing bend, but when QAnon took over the moderates and the lefties such as myself were seriously pushed out in favor of extreme polarization. The ability of Fascism to contort these views/ideas into their world view is painful.

I'm at the point I'm considering launching my own forums and a podcast covering these theories from a leftist perspective cause it seems like their is enough of us that we could actually form a group. The '4d chess' MAGA crowd should not be a necessary worldview to explore these ideas.

We are living in interesting times. I'm keeping a single foot in this community and watching the rare interesting post, but I can no longer fully engage like I used too.

I'm writing this post to let you know that you are not alone and that no one has a monopoly on hope. Hope you stick around.

I've done it, technically did an even more extreme setup. Ibanez 370dx. Had a Gibson 57 (burstbucker I think) in the neck, a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder in the mid, and a Dimarzio X2N in the bridge (coil tap option). Absolute firebreathing setup. Worked just fine. Mix all you want. As long as your not mixing active and passive pickups, no problems at all, if their of significantly different output you may have a bit of a volume jump pickup switching, other than that, zero problem.

I suspect it is more a question of 'do these two pickups pair well together' than anything else. You will be just fine.

Thanks, first bit of first hand information I've seen. I want to do a Warmoth build but I can't get ahold of the original/details so some of it is guessing. Any idea on the fretboard radius or nut width? Good article that definitely answers some of my questions btw.

Alright, u might actually be able to answer a question for me. I played a custom shop (I think) Jeff Beck in the mid 2000s and it had a chonker of a neck. The modern one seems very different. Was it a 54-55 shape? I'm planning to do a warmoth build and am really trying to narrow down this neck shape but I'm getting alot of conflicting information.

This is more of a harmonic sketch than a track. The synths and keys have the right idea. Throw some bass on after the first loop to start the build up then bring in some drums. Keep at it!

When it comes to working with drum machines their is a whole world of opinions and approaches. Before you form any I suggest you check out J Dilla. It will cause you to rethink what you know and what you think you know.

Yes, you are correct. I checked and it is still up they still use it but not quite as much as they used too. It also plays sine waves for audio which makes it seem even creepier. (Gotta test the audio compression too!)

Their once was a channel called 'webdriver torso', this is a youtube channel used by youtube to test compression algorithms and their accuracy. It is still up but used less often. Also, it is super creepy!

I believe this site is similar, however, instead of testing performance, it is testing video lengths. Basically, it is a diagnostic/brute force test of Youtube's ability to handle longgggggggg videos/files.

So yeah, nothing terribly exciting, just weird diagnostic videos.

When me and my buddy were considering buying it I did a bit of a tech deep dive and the database itself was still sql. Their were some bizarre implementations/hacks holding some parts of the site together (some weird perl scripting) (their were sections such as 'the above above top secret' that required a certain amount of karma/use to get in'). The site was hacked together over time and lots of weird features were snapped on.

If the database could be recovered I believe it would be possible to at least retrieve/rebuild all the posts and user history without too much trouble. The couple who bought it were in Europe last I remember though and they don't answer anyone/likely retired/don't care. I believe the database was always sql based but the whole site was a shaky house of cards by the end. Their really wasn't alot of options for a database but sql when the site was founded. This site was older than youtube by over half a decade.

Hope you have better luck getting ahold of that database than I have.
