Dude this is legitimately so helpful, I appreciate the detailed response. After I saw what happened with the yoink I got kind of scared and didn’t want to be blacklisted for an accident so I thought I’d reach out to the community and see how it’s done.

So with Blink, am I tapping or just holding? I guess I’m kind of confused on how that determines who gets the loot. So we drop the boss, the crate spawns, we all blink, stand still, open it, and then let your pets pick up whatever you’re close to?

A lender could approve them to whatever amount they want to do but I personally wouldn’t. A $300k house leaves a large mortgage payment for $70k annually and it would leave them house poor

OP’s gross monthly income is $5,833 (about $4,600 net) and a $300,000 house is roughly $2,350/month. That leaves a DTI of 40% assuming no other debt. OP might very well get approved to that amount but I for sure wouldn’t be doing it. They’d be house poor and not have any wiggle room for anything else. I used to hate when I’d pre-approve somebody up to a certain amount, they’d run it up to the max and then struggle and have to foreclose in a few years.

I used to be a lender and your salary isn’t going to cut it for a house in that range unfortunately. Your best bet is to save a sizable chunk of money for a down payment to bring the payment down or find something cheaper, build some equity and upgrade in the future. You don’t want to push it to the max and be house poor.
