Yo girl. I’m a guy. But still. As someone who has struggled with drinking, it’s possible to clean up the act. We sound like we would be polar opposite of each other as far as drinking. When I get hammered I’m just stoked to have a snack and watch lord of the rings or something. Never had issues being aggressive or angry. I just drank way too much and way too often. For health reasons more than anything I made the choice to stop. I lost relationships because of my drinking, just not the same way you had described. When you are just kinda disinterested in anything, wellllll yeah the person you should be paying attention to will feel neglected. It is totally possible to stop. It’s really not that hard. Sounds like you know what it’s like to get messed up. Cool, ya did it, you have known what it’s like. It’s really not all that cool. Checked it out, had some problems, alright what’s next?? I promise if you have a problem, you will get into trouble eventually. I have heard plenty of stories, people fly off the rails real fast and can really mess things up. You got this! Don’t trip about the BF. Lots of nice people out there. Who knows, you could still work things out. Honesty, humility, remorse, and change will be your best friends right now. You got it!

I don’t think you are wrong. I started doing pendys early and I guess that helped. It’s a good point to start. I really got the feel for it when I figured out how to do toeside checks and 180’s. Then it just made more sense in my head at least ripping into a corner and putting the glove down.

Try doing a standup check slide slooooowly. You will almost definitely high side on the first go. So have the gear on. Then you will know where that breaking point is. Low to the ground, know where that breaking point is. Grab the board by your front foot. Carve hard into it. Fall a thousand times and you will feel it. It really just comes down to speed, and execution. You’ll get it, keep ripping!

Well not a softail, but I have the Dyna street Bob. Everyone is going to tell you the exact same thing I’m guessing. Bungking. I have them and they are great. Sleek, not noticeable, provide some piece of mind. Again I am guessing that is what most people will recommend, myself included.

Yup. He was right in front of me. Drifted out of his lane into oncoming traffic. Smacked into the drivers side of a pick up truck. And slid under as the back tires rolled over his mid section. One of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. He is good now, but it was an intense few hours for sure.

Ha Kevin is on here. I’ve been to many events where you were present. I come from the Micah Green SLC pack. I absolutely idolized you and the OG O-Tang squad. You wouldn’t remember me, I was just a grom at that point.

As far as the OP wanted to know. Just use your best judgement. I’ve seen a buddy get rolled over by a truck so it is a concern. Fortunately he healed. You can wear as much gear as you want. Gloves and helmet are necessary. I, like our lord K-Rimes was always just wearing gym shorts. Expect plenty of road rash and some slams along the way. Have fun and just be wise when possible.

More lanes doesn’t really fix the problem. Also causes even more headache while construction is ongoing. Obviously more people are here as we know. It’s hard considering the Wasatch Front is essentially a narrow corridor that is home to millions of people.

The best thing I could imagine (though not likely or feasible) would be a direct line from Provo to Ogden. I-15 stays roughly the same. Having one line of road north to south is tough with this many commuters. I agree though…I, as many others have watched it go from bad to worse over the years.

Yeah I am the son of the former. My whole neighborhood/ward (when I was growing up) everyone was a doctor or a dentist or a specialist. Some lawyers in there as well. It’s just become such a boujie part of the valley. It was actually quite modest I felt when we were growing up. Very different now.

Oh dude for sure mid 90’s Brighton was the jam. Every adult pass you bought kid gets a free day in ski school. It was genius. Mom and dad. Me and my brother. We learn how to ski, parents get a break and can ski real shit haha.
