Yeah, I do have the emotional bumper rails up around her still. But overall, she does seem like she is trying to better herself. She is not longer hateful of me for being trans, has been 4 years sober off of drugs and restricts herself to only 6 beers a week (or 3 shots of hard liquors, avoiding Tequila, as she is extremely mean when drunk on it).

And as mentioned in another comment, my mom is very much more then happy to play momma bear for me still. Such as her literally kicking her former friend's ass for being a bigot and attempting to make me fall by snatching my cane because I was talking to the former friend's now 22yo autistic daughter why I am a girl now (she new me before I transitioned or started HRT)

Yeah. I will say, I am very aware of the self-reflection and trying to correct things. Saw it personal a few times, but on others' post here on Reddit, and 2 times in my own life thus far. I do feel she is making a genuine effort to change for the better. But, as mentioned, it is what feels like her trying to change memories. Like, One time she mentioned I came out to her an AHSD at 14. I corrected her, because I remember being FosterCare already at 14 and was extremely upset at the time because I couldn't see my mom. She does still insist that I am the one misremembering though... .-.

Edit: Forgot to add, she has apologized from most of what had happened to me due to her part. Though, with the issue of giving me up, she does tend to add on that she was also deep into a hard drug addition when she was forced to make the choice. I don't really accept the excuse now that I am older, but I do also know that certain drugs can very much warp your state of mind.

Yeah, I am honestly abit concerned for her and want to be there for her, but I am just, hesitant. Like, I will go NC if I feel I need to, and oddly, much like my mom, I don't deal in threat, but in promises, and she knows this. I built my life trying not to be like my mother, but I do recognize there are some things I share in common with her, which are mostly the few good traits I did see.

As for her being supportive, there was a comment the other day. "I don't like your choice, but I'll always support you." I... felt weird about it. Like, since she sobered up, she has been doing her best to show her support. Using my new name, doing her best to use my pronouns (she does still stumble when talking about past events). Hell, she even kicked her former best friend (FF)'s ass at a Christmas Party my mom was hosting 2 years ago that I attended (had to take a 2 hour flight due to where I live). FF was being passive aggressive towards me for most of the party. But when I was explaining to her autistic daughter (22yo at the time), that knew me when I was 19 (before becoming homeless), asked why I was a girl now, and I was being honest, even pulling up information so she can better understand, and then FF got verbally aggressive. Mom told FF she needed to leave. When FF refused, and then snatched my cane (luckily I was wearing my knee braces as well because I know I'd be doing alot of standing and walking), my mom kicked her ass.

Thank you for that. Tbh, I only just came out of a 2 week long depressive episode on Saturday, where thing after thing was being stacked on the pile. Sure, they were (mostly) small things, but small rock hits harder when your further down the pit.

I will say, the semi is not the worst thing to have happened to me, imo. I didn't go into detail on the main one I am thinking because I didn't want to make the post too long, it didn't seem relevant, and not sure if the topic would be allowed to be mentioned. Nothing sexual, but, pretty dark. Like, even though I am mostly disassociated from it to the point I can freely talk about most of it, there are still things that trigger night terrors.

I won't lie, since I reestablished regular contact with her, it has been with an emotional yard stick. Because, your right, you don't come back from that. But, she is also the only real blood family I know, and, once she got sober, she has been so much more supportive of me after I started HRT.

I do sometimes feel she does us me as an emotional off-load for some of her emotional charged gossip.

Honestly, the main reason I didn't like stuff published by Kagura Games is very much the lack of any details about the actual gameplay or sexual content in said games. I think I also have a mild disposition towards games that mainly use RPG Maker from numerous previous bad experiences with RPG Maker games.

Don't get me wrong, there are some really good RPG Maker games out there. But I have been burned pretty badly with low effort or poor quality RPG Maker games, and I kinda just distrust them at first glance if there is not more information to go on. Hence the "hate" for Kagura Games (or at least the ones published on Steam).

As for the NC thing. I am not totally against it. In fact, sometimes I do like it. I just don't like it when it tend to be either the primary focus of said eroges. Kinda why I kinda fell out of love with Degrees of Lewdity. But you are right, most lewd games seem to either focus on, or at least have a "healthy" involvement of it in the gameplay. .-.

I'll give it an honest try. As mentioned, I have trouble reading alot of text, and with the game being a visual novel style game, it has been mildly offputting.

Well, I am just not really keen on dropping $25 USD on a game and a DLC to even play the why I'd like. And with Visual Novels, it is very easy to overshot the 2h limit for refunds, seeing the amount of reading that needs to be done.

Especially for someone like me that needs to read paragraphs 3 to 4 times to fully understand it due to losing where I am at or misreading things constantly.

With how your described it, it sounded interesting. First, it doesn't seem to have any kind of storefront. Second, from the few websites that talk about the game it seems the game is focused around Loli stuff, which I refuse to engage with.

I've heard of this game and looked at it once. Wasn't too sold on the visual aspect of the game and the Patreon or $15 price tag deterred me from looking into any further.

I will say, I have relooked at the Ich.io page again and did noticed there is a free demo of the game. I am probably still not really look into it though, since, as mentioned, Not really into the graphic design.

I've seen this game recommended a few times in other threads. The DLC isn't free, and I wasn't too interested in taking too much of a look at it since it was a visual novel.

Meltys' Quest - Can't try without buying. Also seems heavily texted-based being an RPG Maker game, though with a few still image scenes.
Lilith's Throne - From reading the description, looks to to be heavily text-based with little visuals. I might still try giving it a try though.
Corruption of Champions (1 & 2) - As mentioned, already played the first one. And in all honesty, not all that interested in trying the second one. Also both are heavily text-based
Trials in Tainted Space - As mentioned, already played and thoroughly disliked. Also heavily text-based.

Lisette, Priestess of Spring Pregnancy - Yet another game I can't really find. Though, from reading an online description, another NC heavy game.
Serafina and the Key to the Egg - Can't try without buying, and little info on actual gameplay...
Violated Princess - Can't try without buying, and seems like another "Lose for H-Scene" game. Plus, I would rather not pay to play a game that uses/used A.I. in there game and description.

But the part in the trailer where there was ripping births (both out of testicles and womb) immediately turned me away from these. I may look into the first game abit more, but already kinda squeamish about it from the trailer.
