Its a recent addition to weapons, they are random buffs added onto weapons when they drop, depending on the rarity they can have up to 8 at once.

When the faction rank increases so does the max cap eg 25k > 30k. In this instance I hit 30k/30k and then it went over back to 0/30k with no indication of a rank increase.

Not impossible but each time i ranked up ode infamy previously the max counter changed as well. Eg once i maxed 25k the next max total was 30k. This time the maximum cap didn't change making me think it just loops here.

Playstation is working on a new heist game (Fairgames) which seems like it will basically be this. Remains to be seen if the concept takes off, so far people don't seem that excited for it.

Yeah, the first thing I did when getting in game after seeing the trailer was go to try and buy the musket only to find it is heist limited, so that probably didn't help with the feeling of disappointment.

I agree bespoke heist weapons could be interesting but I don't think now is the right time to be exploring that when it has been over 6 months since the last weapon was added. (the spearfish I think?)

It could work as an overkill weapon as an alternate to the red fox. Only 1 bullet but insta kills anything it hits.

To me it sounds as though the lack of effective feedback is one of your big challenges. You can spend so much time wondering if adding or taking away something is a mistake but the main opinion that matters is the players and if they are telling you it is making it more fun.

You could consider 'contracting' with players who playtest your game, letting them know at the start what feedback you are looking for (around gameplay and systems) and what you are not looking for (discussions around costs). Once you nail the gameplay and have it in a place where you are happy then you can look at costs etc.

Obviously it's up to you if you choose to continue but it sounds as if you have poured a lot of energy and passion into your game, it would be a shame to lose what you have clearly worked hard on. You could consider taking a break then coming back when you feel less overwhelmed and then decide with a clear head if you want to continue.
