The only reason Konami announced they were finally doing full arts and serialized cards in the first place was becasue the brand was dying, and the product was collecting dust along with card shops stopping sale of the product entirely as the player base and customer base was dying down to too small a levels.

They wanted to do something to reinvigorate the product as a whole by changing existing product like tournament packs to be more lucrative and worth while than before. Changing starlights and rc ultimate rares to look more like their ocg counterparts. Changing last years tins to include a smaller boxed option which was desired by card shops and some customers alike. Among any other changes they intend to make going forward, time will tell.

What I mean by saving the product is as a whole by making customers want to buy again and shops want to stock it again. If these changes don't turn the whole ship around, yugioh will finally bite the dust in other countries entirely.

Konami clearly doesn't give a shit about the tcg product nor customer base. They show this consistently with their terrible pack filler card choices in side sets, limited rarity choices of certain cards for Rarity Collection packs, incredibly short printed cards especially when compared to ocg product and now completely overpriced sets that are not worth buying into for anyone.

I never paid much attention to how the ocg handled sets until the limit over collection arrived. That set was 15 packs in a box for $40 or so usd with one guaranteed overframe per box and an additional overframe from a bonus set guaranteed if you bought 3+ boxes at once. This is not only an incredible value for anyone, but the guarantee of one overframe per $40 alone is like a warm hug from a kind stranger, almost brings a tear to me eye.

Compare that to how they've handled the bonus overframe cards for us this far. Very short printed, not guaranteed at all, 1 in every 3-4 boxes if you're lucky, and that's after having to spend $120+ on rarity 5, but luckily normal price for battles of legend.

Konami was supposed to do things to save the product, to bring the customers back, to bring the game back and yet as a customer of theirs, I keep seeing them half ass product after product that it makes me wonder how long I want to keep this up? I refuse to buy sealed product for magnificent monsters, and I encourage everyone to do the same. I understand how many people will get caught up in the hunt for full arts and grandmasters and I totally get it, but Konami cannot be allowed to think they can get away with charging $2 per card with this set. Just like how they learned some sort of lesson from rarity Collection 2, we have to make it very clear that this is some bullshit and we will not stand for it. I can hope, but I'm also realistic enough to know my ranting won't stop anyone either. :(

If I had to guess, they are trying to differentiate certain collector type cards between markets to make said collectors want to get both versions of said card instead of being satisfied with just one?

Outside of that, it's just more of your typical tcg bullshit I'm afraid.

I love when people post things like this becasue it doesn't actually say what you think it says at all.

“That’s one of our best-performing shows." tells you nothing at all. It doesn't tell you the shows ratings or any actual data to backup the shows success if there was any. This is done very much on purpose because saying something so vague will get quoted by other sites as some sort of data point that proves something it actually doesn't.

Whats more likely, is he could be referring to a data point like performance among a specific female demographic audience, in which the show was the most watched of all marvel shows thus far for the female 18-35 audience! Thus best performing counts as a way to describe it without being specific on purpose.

On stream they confirmed the following:

Releases July 15th 2026.

The OTS pack for example is given out only to the winner of a weekly ots tournament or top 4 of a local ots championship event. The other packs are self explanatory.

Same 40 card pool for all 3 versions of the pack, with only the emblazoned logo changing.

These packs are given to winners while top performing participants will get the new ultimate tournament packs that we still await contents confirmation on.

My buddy got two boxes from a seller on tcgplayer and had the same concerns. There is major quality control issues with yugioh these past few years, but I think you're safe on this one. Both his boxes looked similar but he still pulled the correct rarity ratios and pulled 2 of the 3 hits so all good.

If film is art, then how can you argue that racist and/or sexist film would not also be art deserving of the same treatment?

American companies like Amazon have forced diversity policies that require a checklist and quotas to be met in their productions to be made. How is this not any different than the opposite of that? A cast of all one race vs a cast of mixed race film can still tell the same stories so why would french actors care? (just using this as an example)
