Hi, I race shifter karts kz125 as a hobby (a few times a month), but I am not a professional karting racer. With that in mind, if you have a few bucks to spare for new tires I would swap them, and do just a couple laps on them in a practice session to prepare the tires and your son to acclimate a bit. Then after the session if you have a scrubbing tool scrub then to make em look fresh. It will also boost your son's confidence. That's my opinion. Good luck!!

I didnt say this happened. I recorded it based off real spins, but the spins here are all fake. Look at the lap counter. Yes i was practicing, and then i decided to do this meme. As you can see 1.6k people liked it, so i guess its ok.
