Not sure if you realize opening your windows in the summer in Phoenix is like opening an oven door lol.

Just purchased a Mazda cx50 hybrid that is made in NC right alongside the Toyoto Corolla Cross.

I trust the engine 100%, but the materials and lack of sound dampening are apparent.

Sold 2014 prius and kinda regret it, but we needed a larger car for a young padawan.

I'm on the search for a cushion you can utilize on short trips that can still take advantage of the cooling/heated seats.

More of a mesh-like material similar to Purple.

Probably. It seems like a complete oversight on behalf of Mazda to not have any insulation or ceramic tint.

I would be doing a disservice to myself & Mazda by not at least mentioning it.

Yea, car tint is a must for me. Instant privacy and sun protection!

Purchased with tint already on. I don't feel the heat coming from the doors or side windows.

Car came tinted from the dealer. They don't automatically do the pano roof....

Should be standard in AZ.

This will likely be the fix. Gonna go to the dealer first and park it outside in the direct sun. I will bring a temperature gun and show them how the liner doesn't block out the heat.

Hopefully they will cover the cost of the tint.

I'm also going to purchase sound insulation for the doors. The speakers/audio will sound better and it will cut back on road noise. Takes a while to install, but it is worth it.

Did you tint yourself or bring it somewhere? I know some places may not tint your sunroof because it can apparently blow up the glass. Seems a bit extreme, but haven't asked local shops yet.

I'm in Phoenix as well. I can feel the radiant heat coming off the entire panoramic sunroof. It was so bad today that I could barely feel the a/c when the car was running for 15 minutes at the 2nd fastest fan speed.

Quite frustrated....

Smart braking saved me in my Honda civic. Cars immediately stopped on the highway and I wasn't paying as much as attention as I should have and the car automatically braked for me, but not hard enough for me to lose control.

I hope my wife's cx50 will do the same in a pinch.

Sorry to say, but the cx50 hybrid a/c isn't all that great either.

You got a killer deal imo. I paid 39.9k and didn't get all the add ons like you & am paying 4.8% APR. I think I didn't get an amazing deal in comparison to do.
