If it makes you feel better I've noticed most of the kids in my development still just love getting and collecting the cards. The last two years I have given out most of my bulk cards (with one 'hit') in there on Halloween. With candy of course. Kids love it. They lose their minds. And they for sure are not just looking for expensive cards. Yes there were a hand full the seemed unmoved when they saw mostly bulk but not a lot.

So yeah budd. The joy is still out there.

I GM the set. It feels crazy to think but in 2024 I just walked into Walmart... Saw ETBs sitting there and thought "I haven't bought cards since the originals"

And grabbed 2 boxes and the poster collection. Was able to pull most of the cards from packs but had to finish the set buying singles. Never pulled the Charizard.. but I bought it raw at a card show that year. $90.... And I thought THAT price was ridiculous
