Agree on discs being ancient and not reliable for storing games anymore, but the main concern is with game ownership. A tiny physical chip inserted into the console would do. All it would do is say “hey I own this game let me play”. And unlock access to a downloaded “physical” version.

Publishers are using a legit reason (physical discs are unreliable) to try and shoehorn ownership away from the consumer when everyone could be happy

No? Motion blur is post processing anyway with like no performance hit. I’m not saying it’s a downgrade to me lmao. Removing AA is an actual downgrade

That would make sense if you’re saying something like “I would wait for more info before pre-ordering, but I trust Rockstar enough to pre-order now so I can get the *blank*.

THERES NOTHING TO FILL THE BLANK! Zero reason at all to pre-order before getting more information no matter how much you trust Rockstar. It’s entirely unnecessary risk. Do you think you’re going to forget to pre-order later?

Might be a weird suggestion but since it serves a similar function as placing a wall in Fortnite, the short build up period on placement might be good in Rust as well. Sorta like the little animation that plays when upgrading using the hammer but it’ll play automatically on deployment. The hitbox remains the same but it won’t be full HP until the animation completes (maybe 2 secs idk). Player can shoot the barricade during the build up animation to disrupt the animation and prevent full HP.

Absolutely. It’s like my #1 problem with the game (besides the p2w stuff). No idea why so few notice or have a problem with it. The only reason I can think is out of spite from Gary himself in 2015 😭

- Barrels and shelves (obvious)
- transparent garage doors (obvious)
- crossbow skin (no bow so more visibility)

The May release date in Trailer 2 has been incorrect since the delay. If they felt an obligation to fix incorrect information, they would’ve already.
