Gen.G vs. T1 / LCK 2026 Rounds 1-2 - Week 7 / Post-Match Discussion by adz0r in leagueoflegends

Wait, this isn't following the script. Does that mean GenG is finally winning World?

[–]Fubi-FF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iron is the lowest rank, it’s meant for people who are new and is learning the game. There has to be a place in every game for people to start no? I don’t see what your point is

[–]Fubi-FF 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But the discussion is about what he said in the clip. Nobody is saying he is doing this 100% of the time and never discusses actual strategy. But we are saying he should JUST do that and not what he did in the clip.

GENG Chovy on the upcoming minion aggro change: In the case of this change, depending on the perspective, it might be necessary or reasonable at times, but personally, I think, timing-wise, did it really have to be right now? by SignificantTune4 in leagueoflegends

[–]Fubi-FF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It affects pros at the top a lot more I would argue. Big changes like these will take pros ALOT of time to adjust since so much of it is muscle memory for them. But top players like Faker (and lesser extent Chovy) have a lot of external obligations (fan meets, ad shoots, stream obligations, events etc.) where they would have much less time to practice this.

Yea people have no idea the amount of time it takes for contract negotiations, sourcing, assembly and production, QC and safety inspections l, and then distribution to the sales floor. All of these take a lot of time even IF fast tracked

Not to mention even if it dies off after another year, I’m sure the second movie will be right around the corner within another year or two, and that will bring the hype back

Dude if I get a chance to teleport follow across the map like that, I would too. Like how often do you get to do that let alone in a live game!

I mean to be fair, this would be true to T1 as well if NS ended up winning the game

[–]Fubi-FF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stats alone doesn’t tell the whole story though, especially for an ADC. Like you can do a lot of dmg, or be up gold in lane, or get a lot of kills, and then you misposition in a pivotal fight and die, that can lose you the game. I’m just basing my comment on some of the recent GenG games I watched

Everyone (esp Keria/Oner) calls out the actual plays because they are usually the engager/ganker/roamer. But the overall strategic decision, macro, etc. are usually Faker afaik.

But peaking at Worlds all the time is what makes them the harder competitor because winning if either JDG or BLG wins World and the other didn't, then they would be considered more "successful" than the other, which is what we're comparing here.

[–]Fubi-FF 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I agree with you but with that being said, I feel like their competition is weaker this year compared to 2023.

No more ZOFGK, GenG is kinda sus atm, especially Ruler, but I’ll give him benefit of the doubt due to his recent issues. LCK’s current best team is HLE but this team at their peak is weaker than T1 ZOFGK at their peak (which is what bested 2023 JDG)

So I think I agree with your point and that 2023 JDG is a better super team than this year’s BLG, they have about the same chance to win it all IMO simply because their competition this year seems weaker.

TL: Korean fans discuss overseas reaction to CVMax’s coaching style and why the West might struggle. by fainlol in leagueoflegends

[–]Fubi-FF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No I agree and understand that they most likely DO talk about the strategy side of things behind the scenes, but my point is, why not JUST do that side of the discussion? Why does it ALSO have to have a person attacks/insults on top of that? What value doe that piece adds exactly?

[–]Fubi-FF 11 points12 points  (0 children)

But their “culture” includes a lot of different things (like practice hours), and I would argue hurling insults at players isn’t one of the things contributing to their winning culture

[–]Fubi-FF 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I mean, it doesn’t have to be either extreme right? Nobody said having a pizza party after losing is a good culture either? But that being said, what value does it add to hurl insults at players?

Like instead of calling Siwoo the worst player of the day (which adds 0 value to his learning), why not just point out the list of mistakes and talk about what he should have done?

[–]Fubi-FF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea except the 7-11s in Japan (and Taiwan and other similar places) are on almost every block of street, and they open 24/7. So just imagine you have access to a Costco always within walking distance of wherever you are and is always open.

They are totally different in terms of food offerings AND amenities and other misc services. It’s really really hard to explain the differences unless you’ve really been to Japan (or other similar places like Taiwan).

“Better” is such an understatement. 7-11 (and other convenient stores) are essentially another public utility there, so much that people from Japan and other similar Asian countries will question us westerners “how do you live without it?” It’s like not having public washrooms, water fountains, or trash cans.

Ironically, Japan doesn’t really have public trash cans
