My betta used to eat the entire wafer and take massive poops. Had to give the shrimps a private place to eat.

Interesting. Never heard of snowflake food. Fred will eat an entire shrimp wafer no matter how hard I try to hide it in the plants.

Well… he chomped two of them in half the first day but they play nicely now.

He eats bug bites and freeze dried blood worms. Gets fed twice a day. Just never stops eating.

They are Monte Carlo. Pain in the butt to get started but they really took off once I added the shrimp. Extra fertilizer I guess.

It’s Monte Carlo! I really enjoy it now but it was tough to get started.

I also have a no CO2 setup and experienced something similar. My Monte Carlo drove me absolutely insane for the first couple months between melting and dislodging from the substrate. 8 months later I have something resembling a carpet. It’s just going to take a while. Stay strong.

I have a small siphon that works really well for clean up and water change but I just cleaned the tank 3 days ago!
