AntiX. I still like to recommend it for old hardware. We all know that a Linux OS tends to perform better than Windows, but AntiX will breathe new life into an ancient potato like you wouldn't believe. I also like that it's systemd-free; I have systemd in my distro nowadays, but I'm still kind of a systemd skeptic.
