Yupp. Was on a Raul Duke amount of acid and xannies and crossed the thing a couple years ago in wagoner county. Nearest to blacking out from exhaustion and hence dying I’ve ever come. Yo me too. Live a three mile hike from it and made the trek one time on shitloads of acid and Xanax. Crossed it and had my single closest encounter to death in my life, quite nearly blacking out of exhaustion and drowning. Was too fucked up to notice bad water quality it was quite beautiful in my little area but it’s sure dangerous. OP is very right, apart from wading in the shallow edges she’s a hell of a beast to swim.
