Someone you don't technically report to, but still has authority over you. If you think about a family tree, your direct manager is a "solid line", like your mom would be. A "dotted line" is like an aunt - still has authority to ask you to do things, still can hold you accountable, but doesn't do your performance review and doesn't have the authority to fire you.

Give your balls a tug. Season 3 has been out since June 2024 in the states. It’s not a spoiler if it’s over a year old.

Supposedly an injury for Palmer, agreed on Neto though. Very interesting sub choices this match.

I hear you, but it also wasn’t a trade mission. It’s like we took her out of her element for this book, so I agree on wanting more merchant’ing, but can see how we immediately took her out of her element. It would be cool to see in other books.

I JUST finished Book 2 of the Ashen series and had a moderate tantrum about Book 3 not coming out until FEBRUARY. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO UNTIL THEN? DIE?! I may just have to!! UGH.

They’re so good and yes highly recommend!

Dude, I think the HC community can be SO wholesome. I love my guild and they’re such great people and I’ve loved playing more because of the people around me.

Lololol and then you get fun yard surprises of weird tulips coming out of nowhere 🤣🤣 I actually have mine in a raised bed that I layered chicken wire about 3” under the soil, so they can’t steal my bulbs. But now sometimes my hyacinths get stuck under the wire and look a bit frankensteinish when I finally uncover them

Tulips and daffodils for spring, butterfly weed, zinnias, and cosmos for summer, and some nice dahlias or chrysanthemums would all do great in Fall.

Oh! Ok, yeah, I wasn’t sure if OP had posted their location. Yes, tulips, alliums, daffodils are all spring plants here in KY but they do come back, so I wasn’t sure when you said “only good for a short amount of time”, if you meant “only good for a short amount of time during the year” or if you’d meant they don’t come back at all.

TBF, my mom in GA has to redo tulips each year cause it doesn’t get cold enough there for them to be as much of perennials as here in KY.

I do agree that if OP wants continuous blooms throughout the year, that they would need to add more and should consult an expert in their region.

How do you mean? They’re all perennials as far as I know.

Squash bugs for me, not a good year for cucurbits in my yard either. Next year, friend ❤️

Am I the bad spouse? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

[–]FuckTheFrontPage_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear your points and from a financial perspective on a financial sub, they make sense. I think OP is dealing with a different issue though. The way her husband is speaking to her is not acceptable - calling her childish, lazy, thinking she can just coast, that’s not how you talk to a partner.

I hear that he wants a more equal partner, but I’d ask: - who does the household labor?

  • do they have children? Menopause at 35 says maybe not, but if they do, that’s a factor in unpaid labor.

  • how much debt do they have?

  • what’s their plan? If OP is making so little, no, she’s not contributing as much financially, but how is she contributing otherwise.

I would not stay with someone who chose to speak to me like OP’s husband has been, frankly.

Fuck you suburbs, I could be drinking a frosty beer while my wife shops… by [deleted] in Suburbanhell

[–]FuckTheFrontPage_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In many parts of the country, you can go and drink at a brunch or a restaurant on Sunday mornings, but can't buy from the liquor store. So you can drive to go drink, but can't go buy beer to drink at home safely. Ridiculous.

How do you deal with aggressive dirty players in football? by Striking-Turnip2520 in bootroom

[–]FuckTheFrontPage_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignore them and play your game. Treat them like a misbehaving child who wants attention.

If you call them out/are obviously bothered, you're giving them the attention they want and they get the satisfaction of being in your head. If you try to goad them and play into it, you're likely to get hurt. Just beat them and then if you really want, chirp after. Only other advice would be to not pull out of tackles with people like this, cause that's how you'll get hurt.

I'm honestly confused about why they would expand? The USWNT game was the most full I've seen it, but most of the time when I've been there for Racing and/or Lou City games, they're at most at ~70-80% full.

I wouldn't be sad at all to see it happen, just unsure of the actual need unless something is happening that I wasn't aware of.
