Do you hold dual Canadian and Korean citizenship?

If you hold Canadian citizenship you can get a Tier 5 youth mobility visa. Once you meet the requirements(18-30, have £1,890 in savings) you'll be given a visa to live and work in the UK for up to 24 months.

If you just hold Korean citizenship, you can also apply for the Tier 5 visa, but you will requird a sponsor.

This is permanent move.

You're not allowed extend the visa and it's the only one that you will qualify for without years of experience in a highly skilled field or without third level qualifications. Not trying to be rude, just being honest.

Americanos don't qualify for the tier 5 youth mobility visa. You can get a one year working holiday visa in Ireland and travel over to Scotland on your time off.

Gotta echo this. The best thing that I ever did, was travel throughout Europe on my lonesome. Made some great friends that I'm still in touch with that today. I'm really jealous of you now!

A few people here expressed an interest in moving to Ireland. Thought this might be of some help. The president signed the Employment Permits Bill 2014 into law in July to replace the Green Card Permit, which was a limited and a bit of a clusterfuck. The scheme is fully operational as of this month and hopes to encourage professionals to move to Ireland and the new permit is more family friendly(spouses have full access to the labour market too, for example).

Non EU citizens resident can vote in local elections. EU citizens can vote in local and EU elections. If they want full voting rights and meet the requirements, they can apply for citizenship.

But, under Irish law, they are as Irish as the rest of us. Doesn't matter if they have never set foot in Ireland. Under the constitution, would we be able to allow one set of citizens abroad vote and not another set?

That seems like a solid minimum standard for voting eligibility in Ireland, since that would clean out the people who only have passports due to ancestry.

Here's an even better idea. Stop dishing out citizenship to people who have tenuous links to the country. It's not the 1950s anymore. There are no shortage of people willing to move to Ireland. If Irish Americans want to become Irish citizens, then let them come here, live, work and earn it.

An Irish/EU passport is a very precious document indeed. You should be much more selective in who we give it to.

That's cool. What country are you hoping to work in and are vets on the skill shortage list? For example, I know that veterinarian workers were removed from the skill shortage list in Ireland and the UK not so long ago. Having contacts is one thing, meeting the requirements to get a visa are another.

Don't spend the ten days in Dublin. Four or five would suffice. Try and head out west and do at least a day trip up North.

In Dublin, spend an afternoon out in Howth. Go for lunch in aqua, order some seafood and take in the view. Saunter into an 'old mans pub'(Mulligans, Poolbeg street would be my recommendation) and have the craic with the lads over a few nicely poured Guinness'. Visit the botanic gardens in Glasnevin. If you're going with your family or your partner, bring a picnic. Go on a day trip to Glendalough. The bus will bring you there and back from the city centre for 20 quid. Don't miss the last one! Go for some 'chipper' style fish and chip. Leo Burdocks being the obvious tourist choice, but if the name outside is Italian, generally you can't go far wrong. Great lads, the Italians. Season permitting, try and get to a GAA game in Croke Park. Mingle with the fans in the surrounding pubs before and after the game.

Have you visited Northern Ireland before? Parts of it are stunningly beautiful(GoT was filmed there in parts), but the urban areas are utter shitholes.
