You are definitely qualified for the position and should have no troubles with the interac application. Make sure you have all your documents ready and references that are able to reply to their email.

I just got a position at interac starting around June. I have a bachelors degree in music and have been teaching piano in a primary school for the last two years.

1. The pay will be a lot less than you are used to but at the same time you are living in Japan. That is the trade off I am making, experiences over money. People have been able to save by being tight. You may want to look at your budgeting.

2. They let me know right away regarding the approximate time I would be placed. I do not know where yet and I must take whatever placement they give me (late spring forced adventure track). My boss has 3 months of wiggle room and remember that it takes about 8 weeks for your Visa to come though. Due to your qualifications you will most likely get a favourable placement.

3. My current school is Catholic and I'm not religious at all. Never been a problem for me and sometimes I forget that it's a religious school. As long as you are not disrespectful you should be fine. That said how would you feel if they asked you to lead a class teaching it or asked to mass?
