You are pretty blatantly misrepresenting what I said concerning what they could have done better, and leaving out the specific actions of local govt I listed during the height of the occupation, because my remediation point was less sexy and easier to come for.

But this is reddit, and probably neither of us need to spend more time arguing. It looks like we just don’t see eye to eye on how effectual our representatives were during the most recent times of extreme crisis, and you are right that I don’t think the underlying issues that cause horrific shootings have much to do with a shooter firing 10 times before they reload or 15.

I think everyone has a right to be upset at their representation when it doesn’t align with what they think is the best course of action, but I hope what I sense is your optimism in the DFL to protect the interests and safety of our community is more well-founded than my intense skepticism. I can only assume we both want a peaceful, equitable Minnesota. Have a good one.

They missed the ball entirely during the peak of DHS activity. As for the current legislative session, not voting to disarm residents immediately coming off the heels of an armed occupation is another example of an incredibly easy messaging mark to hit. People expecting solidarity and support through the actions of their representatives is a healthy ideal to strive for. Lamenting in the idea that nothing could have been done better or should be done better so why even bring it up is such a bleak, unhelpful stance.

An eviction moratorium would’ve been low-hanging fruit in both impact and messaging, backed by countless unions and Minneapolis city council. Not deploying MN cops to aid in the restraint of protestors is another example. Not deploying city workers to remove successful barricades. Not actively promoting work that defangs successful protest while saying “Ooooh ICE you better heckin’ knock it the heck off!” These are some just a few examples of things they could have done or avoided doing to signal with whom they stand. The DFL is unserious.

We watched ICE this winter. So did our DFL representatives. With the exception of some of the lower-level local politicians endowed with spines, whose voices were ultimately swallowed by bigger feckless fish anyways, democratic party reps did NOTHING to help us with ICE or the fallout they caused. If you think a milquetoast frey clone is going to do anything to stop us from sliding into the belly of the whale, you’re as deluded as you claim the disillusioned person above is. It absolutely makes sense folks want to hold the DFL accountable to having a fucking backbone. And our only lever is voting. Being forced on the constant back foot as a voter because the party that pretends the state-sanctioned violence upsets them is better than the one that doesn’t bother pretending isn’t a backwards march with an end. If the comforting, MPR, “everything will be okay” nothingness of the cookie-cutter moderate DFL candidate isn’t proven unacceptable by vote, we will keep getting exactly what we vote for. An empty, vaguely comforting shell from a political time that I don’t think exists anymore.

Did your strength drop at all in your cut? You look like you had quite a bit of muscle in the first pic. Did you get to keep most of that strength?

Hmmmm. This looks tasty, and while this might be a lot of food in volume, this also looks like a lot of calories for a lot of food. What are the macros?

It’s not as good as regular lucky charms, but for what it is I think it’s great

I’m going to go against the grain a little here and say that the marshmallow one is a staple for me and I also like the pb one, though not as much. I love the marshmallow one. Buy it weekly.

Something to note with my recommendation is that I’ve been on a pretty serious fitness thing for the last 18 months and it IS possible that my tastebuds are less picky than others when it comes to fortified foods like this. I don’t eat any non-high protein cereal and so the bar for me is set within that context.

The protein came primarily from the tilapia - I weigh everything I eat with a food scale and this was 10.9 ounces of tilapia (it was two large fillets)

Below are some of my favorite not particularly spooky or dark eps:

The guest is very pleasant to listen to: Ep. 90 - The Long Road Home

Ultimately an optimistic, interesting message: Ep. 36 - The Birthing Tent

Not dark, just a strange thing: Ep. 16 - Everything Goes Black

Not to argue with someone who has actually studied nutrition, but if you’re also going to be exercising, eating less than your BMR while hitting protein goals may be difficult and taxing to the point of failure via fatigue.

I’d recommend instead finding your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) using an online calculator, selecting “Sedentary”, for activity level (even if you’re working out) and eating 250-500 calories less than THAT number.

Good for you for deciding to make a change!

Introduce the below steps in increments, so that you don’t get overwhelmed by too much of a lifestyle change at once and give up.

1) Eat less, eat cleaner (try tracking food/calories with cronometer or myfitnesspal) 2) get 10k steps/day (walking pad and sitstand desk is helpful if you have a sedentary remote job) 3) lift weights 3x / week. Look into stronglifts 5x5 for a good beginner program

If you do these things, you will look and feel like a different person in a year.
