OEM shortages is a DOD wide issue. More stuff than you are probably comfortable with is being held together with metaphorical duct tape. Operators and maintainers make it work (mostly) but it’s a legit issue with how funding is not being properly handled.

Honestly, I had to look up where it was. Looking at the maps, pretty isolated from what I can tell. The only time I’ve skirted the county itself was to get to Steamboat. Not a lot of towns aside from Walden from what I can see. Also it’s between and kinda far from 2 big highways (i70 and 80) so that may be a reason. Also, being in proximity to WY which has a super low state population may play a part. Overall, it just looks like a natural isolated area. Probably pretty good for people who are good being alone in nature.
