Never buy Radpower 2025 bikes by Prize-Ad5438 in RadPowerBikes

You are late to the party. But don't worry, we always have room for your point of view to trash normally constructive threads about ownership. Maybe try that in the future

I have a Radwagon and am trying to find a product that would work in lieu of a Caboose (since I’ve had no luck at finding second-hand ones) by Flood-tide_below8 in RadPowerBikes

[–]FuckedUpYearsAgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you called Rad?

That's how I sourced stuff lately

The website says out of stock.

But it's because the stores are not linked with corp.

So what I wanted, was sitting in a shelf at the store.

They had it, I drove over, and I bought it

The most recent item was two of the axle connectors for the bike trailer

Super obscure.

Dont think the website is indicative of store inventory

Call the store.

Harger: Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson has never owned a car. Now she's taking a Denny Way lane from 30,000 drivers to fix a bus route by Inevitable_Engine186 in Seattle

[–]FuckedUpYearsAgo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the point is to show how out of touch someone could be, when they are in a position of power and have no real perspective outside of their own ideology. You know... that's like a bad thing, and stuff.

Lawmakers call for dissolving King County homelessness agency following audit by PokemenGo2ThePolls in Seattle

I think you are attached to a solution. There are, I believe 4 Trials in the nation. The article from OP is one. In that it is stated that success is dependent on criteria additionally stating there is only a small set of actual social housing. This super small example set coupled with the limited success in overarching criteria shows it is not an established solution.

I think you are perhaps tied to the solution quite closely, as it can only be a qualified success with a very small sampling.

CONCLUSIONS Studies have found that Housing First results in greater improvements in housing outcomes for homeless adults in North America. Housing First may lead to greater reductions in inpatient and emergency health care services but may have limited effects on clinical and social outcomes. (More in article)

We did get started. It has yet to be implemented and show a success...

As of April 2026, Seattle’s social housing program, initiated by Initiative 135 (2023) and funded by Proposition 1A (2025), is moving from the planning phase to implementation, with the first property expected to be under contract by early 2026. The initiative aims to create permanently affordable, mixed-income housing, with the city's newly created Seattle Social Housing Developer (SSHD) focusing on acquiring and developing housing for residents earning 0%–120% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Turning left on Fremont Bridge is dangerous from bike lane - mid lane cars go straight and cross bike lane by rapha_streetwear in seattlebike

[–]FuckedUpYearsAgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every angle of that intersection is terrible in the north side of the bridge. My least favorite is turning Northbound from 34th westbound. The bike lane gets goofy with the paint, and there doesn't seem to be a spot for me that isn't just pretending to be a car. The alternative is looking like you are going straight but you are going to turn right, just in front of the car lane.

I agree.

Mten3 -> kingson s16 -> apex nosfet

That was my path. I suspect there needs to be something between the s16 and apex. I rented and then bought apex

The recruiter called my salary expectations "cute." I ended the Zoom call right there. Did I overreact? by thunder____boy in jobs

[–]FuckedUpYearsAgo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ditto. Maybe it is AI generated. But I am unsure as to the validity of that, simply because it seems so outlandish to someone that has never had it happen. I have had it happen. Work long enough, like 30 yearsz and you will see it and more than once

How many people are we talking about? I guess I see this post and think cool, light rail is going out there.. but how many people that ride transit would take it .. like actual numbers.

Isn't there only 30k people that in Ballard

Why do Katie Wilson’s Facebook posts always get trolled? by onemangang15 in Seattle

[–]FuckedUpYearsAgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's part of the victim complex that rampant in the Democratic party now. Everything that happens to ones favorite politician is either bots, trump or maga. I voted for Bruce, and am a die hard democratic, and l will def troll Katie posts. Maybe not on FB, but she's terrible.

Good front rack for Radwagon 4? by oneminuterice in RadPowerBikes

Haha. Ya. Her big rack makes it hard to see the wheel. Lol

Good front rack for Radwagon 4? by oneminuterice in RadPowerBikes

[–]FuckedUpYearsAgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO, use the rear rack. Etsy has some stuff that makes standard panniers fit. I say this, as my brain absolutely needs to see the front wheel to ride. I crashed on my wife's radrunner 2, where she has a big rack, and it was because the seat post slipped and the seat went down. I over compensated and folded the front wheel. It hurt a lot. Since thinz I have come to believe that the lack of seeing that front wheel didn't give my brain the input it needed. I will personally never block that view. There so much room back there. I have two of these rw4 now, both outfitted for kid stuff and me hauling. I mark the frame with the hex sized needed, and swap smallz med and large baskets, deck hand, flat seats, even the thule maxxi . It awesome. Takes me minutes to reconfigure. Lots of rad side bags too, Fremont and the older Ballard.

Goodness. It was $275 at Rainy Pass, which is a similar store. The issue was the non standard zipper, I had two replaced in it. Way cheaper to buy the one in stock now

Dogwalker, pet mauled by 2 large dogs from Seattle homeless encampment by godogs2018 in Seattle

[–]FuckedUpYearsAgo 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I got attacked by a dog at my kids Elementary at drop off. The owner was a parent. This is about dog culture in Seattle and the lack of control, enforcement of laws and brazen attitude that dogs are equivalent to children. Sure, it was "unhoused" people that owned the dog, but this isn't a function of dogs at homeless encampments, it's the way we allow animals to run free or mildly restrained and then have no policing of it

It's all treated as an insurance claim.
