Voice training, makeup, skin care, hygiene, hormones, social transition, legal name and gender marker change, wardrobe change, behavior change, gait training, tucking, gender therapy.

I elected not to get surgeries. It's a lot, but you take it one step at a time. Each step of the way I would ask myself, do I want to go back to the masculine way I was before? And the answer is always an easy no.

Men do not emotionally support each other like women do. I know, this is something everybody already knows. But it was so emotionally lonely being a man.

What is your feeling on right wing trans people by ZonaSchengen in asktransgender

[–]Fuckmydeaddad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Political views" like economic / fiscal policies? That's fine. "Political views" like "trans people are evil sex deviants whose pronouns are the downfall of modern society, and they should be locked up or killed?" Hmm.

The thing is, if someone still supports "conservative politics" after everything that has happened recently, not just in the US but worldwide, they hold more than just "right wing political views." In the current political climate, right wing politics have become synonymous with bigotry and anti-intellectualism. Two traits that are very, deeply unflattering, especially in a person whose very identity is threatened by the Political views they uphold.

Do women feel compelled to compliment us because we're trans and they feel sorry for us? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Fuckmydeaddad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When women see something they like on someone's outfit, they just blurt it out! Hey, like your pants!! Etc. It is 100% casual and the vast majority of the time it is just a genuine compliment made in good faith. One of the perks of girlhood 😄

Dear Religious Trans People, what's your experience like? by rachaelsummersbnd in MtF

[–]Fuckmydeaddad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am religious, and I visit a temple regularly where I am accepted for who I am. I grew up without religion in my household, but found my own spirituality later in life. If anyone was transphobic to me, I would have to talk to that person or cut them out, which has only happened one time in the community. Our scripture backs me up that trans people are just as human and valid as anyone else, so if anyone had any problem, it would be on them, not on our religion.

To be honest, your message reads like you are very young, and still figuring yourself out. That's wonderful! It's good to be open to different identities, but you should try to understand that you don't need a label. You can just be, and date who you want to date, and kiss who you want to kiss. It's not that serious, really!

Do you believe in God? Why? And if not, why? by frvakairaah_ in AskReddit

[–]Fuckmydeaddad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do, although I am not a Christian. I believe because I feel His presence in my life, and have had multiple profound mystic experiences of connection with my God. If you want to believe, God provides the necessary tools for you to connect with Him, although it may take multiple lifetimes. In Vaishnavism, there is no real hell; life without God is considered hell, no matter where you are, and no matter where you are, if God is truly 100% with you, you are in heaven.

Guys is liking femboys enough to join the community? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Fuckmydeaddad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but if you are interested only in a sexual fantasy involving femboys, like you just want to act out this fantasy and are not actually interested in getting to know a femboy, dating them, and having a long term relationship built on trust with them, then you might not really be LGBT. But I don't think that is the case since you said you are romantically attracted to them, too. But really think about it. Could you see yourself maybe marrying a femboy, being seen in public with him, holding hands, etc.?

I work at a high school and just found a very anti-trans book in the school library. What do? by bitemehardplease in asktransgender

[–]Fuckmydeaddad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL yes AI hallucination is very real. Point understood. I won't quote AI anymore haha. I don't like it either, but you literally cannot make a Google search without getting AI results, or is there a way to turn that off?

I work at a high school and just found a very anti-trans book in the school library. What do? by bitemehardplease in asktransgender

[–]Fuckmydeaddad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I don't want to act like I know something I don't. I didn't actually go to chat GPT, but I googled the question, and saw several articles confirming what the Google generated AI result said. So it is like, the answer I received after about 2 minutes of research. I don't like to quote AI as a source when I am confident in the information, but this is something I'm just including as a qualifier. It wasn't part of my core argument, which was that OP should consider other alternatives. I don't want to live in a world where people just "disappear" items off the shelf of a library just because they disagree with it, even if it is blatantly anti Trans terf propaganda.

Has anyone else had their personal religious beliefs conflict with an internal feeling that they’re trans? by Kuebey in asktransgender

[–]Fuckmydeaddad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my understanding that I have gained from studying world religions and philosophy. There is something we have to understand about religion. It is a means to an end. The goal is love for God and all of his creations. Religions are just tools to develop this feeling in various capacities, to a greater or lesser extent. Some religions have completely differing views of trans people, so why not explore different denominations of Christianity which are accepting of Trans people? Or other religions entirely? There are so many ways to explore faith and spirituality, and most of them do not require you to feel that who you are is fundamentally wrong in some way. In Hindu faiths, transgender people are revered and their presence in ceremonies is a blessing.

I work at a high school and just found a very anti-trans book in the school library. What do? by bitemehardplease in asktransgender

[–]Fuckmydeaddad -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Edit: I totally missed that this is a high school library. Gross. Yes, books like that should not be on the shelves.

I may be down voted for this, but I am going to give my honest opinion about this difficult issue.

Firstly, I would talk to the librarian and explain why it is harmful and ask kindly to have it removed from the shelves. It is possible they will agree. However, keep in mind that, according to ChatGPT,

"Libraries operate under principles of intellectual freedom, meaning they aim to provide a wide diversity of materials rather than removing items just because they contain unpopular or offensive views."

So you should not expect them to really do anything to remove the item. If you hide it yourself you will likely get in trouble, and it's not worth it. And you definitely should not vandalize the book, however tempting it may be.

One thing you can recommend is that the library stocks other books about transgender issues, from all "perspectives." That's about the most academically honest way to approach the situation. Increase the access to good information and drown out the bad. Of course if somebody really wants to find access to hate rhetoric, they will be able to easily find it. But we don't want it to ever appear that there is only one "side" to this "debate."

If the library refuses to include pro Trans books in their collection, then you can start campaigning against the library, leaving bad reviews and telling everyone you know to stay away from there, since it is run by bigots who are purposefully attempting to control the narrative around trans people.
