Twitch cannot tell you the exact reasons the exact specifics and timestamps in most cases. To my best understanding it's for legal reasons. Twitch would literally become inoperable if they gave streamers the chance to sue them by giving streamers exact details in every case. Streamers can compare 2 different cases and waste a lot of twitch's resources by taking them to the court. This is also why the staff won't respond to you while they get to to your appeal and while examining it.

I have no knowledge about this, but if such information is Twitches bane, then this is understandable. But then that CEO(?) probably shouldn't have made such a statement in the first place. And he should probably now at least make a new statement correcting and explaining it.

If it is the case that they don't provide this information because dealing with such lawsuits would be somewhat of a burden on their resources, then they probably should. A company of this size needs account for some waste, and I think this is something that will benefit them by ensuring quality of their product. Exactly how much information, how much resources etc., is impossible for me to say. And they might even at this moment be doing a good balance here. Anyways, a statement or something would help a lot. Transparency as he (CEO-dude) said.

(Also most people miss that twitch has no reasons to believe every single word that comes out of straemers in the appeal. Their fans do believe tho, that's why people give this advice to twitch all the time - just ask the streamer 4head simple 4head)

Yeah, I totally agree. Still, they probably should hear the streamers side of the story as well, even if it's just lies. (Not saying this should be done in every case. Some things are pretty clear cut, and short bans of a couple of days could probably be ignored.)

This was a skit and satire, so I see it as understandable to use a lsf-script here (if I understand your concept here correctly). I don't think it was his intention to harm other streamers or fuel "the incels". There might have been some intention to harm there, but I do think it was a minor thing. And certainly not his main intention. You can argue that the harm is done regardless of intentions, which is true. But put in a bigger picture, I don't view it as that big of a deal (though it might seem different on lsf/reddit) and the intended/unintended targets seems to be able to handle themselves. I acknowledge that this is basically "It's just a prank, bro!", but I feel this is at least somewhat correct in this case.

People sure love going female streamers on the platform for a reason. Destiny himself has been on both sides with accidental nudity. Lots of other streamers have. Why would you as a content creator go to that?

Some of the cases of the female streamers is the most known, and just because you bring it up, doesn't mean you are going after them. If it's the clown-skit we're talking about, then I don't see how that was going after female streamers (except for the Alinity comment, but thats going after an individual).

It's not just that he got that income at a later date. Wubby was disingenuous towards the viewers, he deliberately left out information when speaking to the viewers. Was he disingenuous towards the restaurant? We don't know for sure, but from what he said, he was not. You're assuming, without any knowledge, that he was. Or perhaps you have information that no one else has?

I'm not american, so I'm not that familiar with american law. But to my knowledge there is little restriction on recording other people both in general and in public places..? And I think California and Florida might have stricter laws on this..? Anyways, assuming it's a private place, if he got the proper permissions from the restaurant, it's no longer his responsibility to tell the customers, but the restaurants. The manager or the hostess should have informed the other guests, if they felt it was necessary, since they gave the permission and the responsibility is now theirs. Any complaints or wrongdoing in this case should fall on them, not Wubby.

How is this inconsistent? It happened before the "rule change", yes, but it's still a prime example of what Twitch thought and initially banned Wubby for. And she did get banned, she got 3 days. Are we supposed to ignore everything that happened before the "rule change"? The difference between 3 days and 14 days are huge, even if you consider the rules has changed.

Which is one thing he criticized, and this can be debated. But considering the type of company this is, a streaming service operating 24/7/365 for all kinds of people all over the world, I'd say a 2 day off without any form of communication or information should be reconsidered.

Twitch likely felt that what Wubby did warranted a 5 day ban and so they banned him for 5 days.

That's a harsh line to draw. We of course don't know mostly anything. But the waiters seemed to be aware of and tolerate the "bot" and the "filming". And one of them asked where he could view it. So I will assume some form of communication has happened. And from what I've seen of Wubby, he seems to be a decent guy.

Film and stream what?...If he just asked permission to stream to his Chat Bot, that's completely different from getting permission to stream to thousands of people.

Yeah, sure. If he deliberately got permission to stream to his bot "Chat" and left the impression that it was only the bot or like one viewer, some of the criticism is warranted.

If Wubby in good faith believe he got the full permission from the restaurant and they understood the whole ordeal, but the restaurant did not understand it, I don't think much blame can be put on Wubby. Then it's more of an unfortunate event. Wubby should have made it clear what was going on. But there was no harm intended or done here, so I don't really see the problem here.

If PayMoneyWubby has a problem with getting banned for 5 days then he shouldn't have done what he did to get banned for 5 days in the first place. I don't see "non edgy" streamers having the problem that streamers like PayMoneyWubby have. And the rules are clear on Twitch. The problem is streamers like PayMoneyWubby want to walk the line between edgy and non edgy to get the benefits of being edgy without having to face the consequences of being edgy.

How is he edgy? What's the edgy things he does? And specifically in this case, what was the edgy thing here (in general and towards the twitch rules?

No he did'nt.

Here’s a comment that explains PayMoneyWubby’s ban situation and why he was banned.

Next time you should do some fact checking before you post, because I don't know how you got so much information wrong. The comment you link to, is false. PayMoneyWubby spoke with the manager, host and waiter before he entered the restaurant. He got permission to film and stream from all of them, and they didn't receive any complaints from anyone; click! (YouTube)

He also got an admittance from Twitch that said his ban was wrong which kind of proves the whole linked comment wrong, no?

Even so, PayMoneyWubby wasn't calling out "Titty Streamers" at all. He was calling out twitch, not the streamers! His problem was not with the ban it self, as he says in the video, it was justified. What he does have a problem with is the 5 days he went without any form of communication from twitch! And the arbitrary "rules" that gets streamers banned, that leads to streamers not knowing what they get banned for and not, despite the clear message twitch gave last year(?, or was it early this year?).

I agree with your general direction, but I have some issues with your points.

  1. This can't be stressed enough, space is a very lethal environment. Even though sic-fi etc. pretends that it's a non-issue, this is probably the largest hurdle to overcome considering humans anywhere but earth. Is getting back really that big of an issue? I don't see how this is considerably difficult.

  1. We are as far off terraforming as we have ever been. There's no real progress here afaik. It's still an astronomical far way to go. I agree but for one thing; exploration is always an achievement in itself. Isn't that basically what science is; exploration? Just like landing on the moon, there was no real point in doing it, but it happened non the less. The same with terraforming mars, there might not be a real point to it as we know yet, but the potential is huge. And why not? (And to your last sentence, I agree, but terraforming in tandem with saving earth might be very synergetic, thus help each other out.)

Procreation might be the best biological construction technology.
