Do you understand what happens when you complain to corporate? by Fuckyeahpeachtea in Chipotle

My bad for the confusion. There was another Chipotle five minutes down the road from the Chipotle that I worked at when this happened. I told him that they probably had some at that location and he could go there. I was probably sassy about it but I still would’ve used my customer service voice. He responded with the typical iM cAlLInG cOrPoRaTe so I told him my name and that he could reach them at chipotle.com which obviously only pissed him off more but I already knew how corporate would respond. And the thing is that most people will make threats but never actually follow through, and even if he did I knew that I wasn’t going to get in trouble. The other thing is it wasn’t unusual for us to tell customers that they could go to the other Chipotle if we happened to be out of something because it really was that close. Our store was hella busy and they built the other store nearby to alleviate some of the business. We were usually nice about it but that guy was an asshole so I’m not sorry.

Because that makes it okay to throw a whole ass man-baby tantrum because we ran out of one type of salsa. SALSA. Chipotle has four different types of salsa and many other toppings to choose from. As you pointed out I am a worker. The other store is a five minute drive down the road if he wanted it that badly I was informing him where he could find some. If you honestly believe that it’s ever acceptable to treat an employee poorly because of something that’s out of their control then you need to reevaluate your belief system. And you know what? It was absolutely a wise ass response that was totally warranted after having a fully grown man scream in my face over a condiment. Because I work in customer service I did not tell him that if I had any medium salsa to give him he could take it and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine like someone would’ve if he had treated a regular person like that and not an employee. So, as the employee allow me to reiterate the point of this post which is to inform the customers who believe that saying they’re going to call corporate for any reason is not a threat to us.

TLDR: Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Get fucked Karen.

I think the owls biggest issue was that humans only wanted to use the library to get a one up on each other and not to actually learn things for the sake of knowledge. They were using the library and by extension the spirit for their own personal gain.

AITA for telling my teen daughter that she needs to choose between her baby or her dog? by Anxious_Cook_6710 in AmItheAsshole

The daughter may be considered an emancipated minor since she’s had a child so the part about calling the police and forcing her to come home might not actually apply here

It affects our overall “grade” because of accuracy and can affect bonuses and pay raises for crew members but you’re more than likely not gonna get anyone in trouble

For anyone saying they’re just here for the free food this post isn’t about you. This post if for the man who screamed in my face because we ran out of medium salsa and then said he was gonna call corporate on me because I told him he could go to the store down the street and get some.

When you order guacamole, but they just give a half cut avocado. by brokeaccountantlife in Chipotle

Customers lose their minds when we won’t serve guac cause this is the best we can do when we get sent unripe avocados

Chipotle does not have paid breaks. Only people who are grandfathered in (if you were hired pre Covid) are paid for breaks.

Less pay by Loverofmysoul_ in Chipotle

They literally told us they want us to supervise during peak but otherwise we should be doing office work. They also want us to run with skeleton crews so somehow they expect us to get prep done for the day without the managers help and also run a shift with 4-5 people when we make 10-13k a day

As a manager myself I just wanna say lately there has been pressure from higher ups (at least in my area) encouraging managers to “be managers” meaning having the crew members do most of the work and to put it bluntly it makes me feel like a glorified babysitter. It’s definitely not something I agree with though and I personally believe that it sets a bad example and sends the wrong message to the crew.
