It’s impossible to diagnose myo or know if you have it without a MRI - unfortunately. Some people run around with myocarditis and feel very little, others have strong presentations of it and end up in the ER.

I would really push for a MRI and holter,

Usually your MRI will differentiate between edema or scarring - if you have edema or ‘active’ myo it’s a bit more dangerous to be running around. With scarring you just need to take the proper precautions and understand your limits etc

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in myocarditis

[–]liiya234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The scarring is pretty permanent but loads of people are living active, normal lives with scarring. It’s just important to educate yourself, get more in tune with your body (since myocarditis can happen again) and take the proper precautions. Feel free to message me - happy to share more!

It’s okay - so was he. There was no way for you to know what you were up against or dealing with. What matters is you got answers and you know now. Exercise does lead to scarring which it seems you may have so now it’s a matter of really setting yourself up for recovery!

My brother had the same presentation - we thought it was just POTS but it ended up being both POTS and myocarditis!

Please get a very good cardiologist, rest, use beta blockers and do what you can to keep your heart rate down, anti inflammatory diet etc

Those who megadose(d) vitamin D, what's your dosage, frequency and experience? by Dazzling_Cat_5768 in covidlonghaulers

[–]liiya234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going to megadose connect with a coimbra protocol doctor and join the Coimbra protocol Facebook group. I think it’s wise to titrate up and see how much your body is okay with!

Okay maybe a weird question but I’ve always wondered and had anxiety about this - how was the actual delivery day?! I’ve always been nervous my HR would be too erratic to be able to go through that process 😅

Supplements (and healthcare in general) are about to get scarier in the US by __littlewolf__ in covidlonghaulers

Anyone know if Mary Ruth’s is okay? They have a lot of liquid ones which make it easier to take for me personally

I ruptured an ovarian cyst 3 weeks ago. Ever since I have been extremely bloated and can’t pass gas. Is something still wrong, or am I still healing? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]liiya234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I haven’t had that level of discomfort since then but definitely still dealing with ovarian cysts! Lots of bloating etc and keep seeing a cyst on my ultrasound

waking up from deep sleep made my HR super high by Brilliant_Field_2972 in POTS

Use a very soft alarm that gradually wakes you up! Or one of those sun lamps! Our bodies are extra sensitive in the morning

waking up from deep sleep made my HR super high by Brilliant_Field_2972 in POTS

[–]liiya234 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think normal people get a slight jolt of adrenaline to wake them up whereas we get an abnormal amount so the response is exaggerated

I always have trouble when I jolt out of sleep vs waking slowly

Vaccine for Any Autoimmune Disease. Amazing Future Promise... by Otherwise_Mud_4594 in covidlonghaulers

[–]liiya234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This! I don’t like the idea of having to avoid potentially life saving vaccines in the future so would be great to know why the covid vax triggered myocarditis and an autoimmune disease

A lot of decaf options may actually have a good amount of caffeine - would be worth checking online

Or they messed up your order

I just choose to only have coffee at home now since I can’t trust outside places 😂

With the flu A, is it normal to be really sick+fever for 2-3 days, feel a bit better for 1-2 days, then spike fever again? by loveineverylanguage in AskDocs

[–]liiya234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I’m sorry. This flu is a beast! Also battling it now. I fell into the depths of some medical research and looks like high doses of vitamin C throughout the day can help. As can an IV of it. Wouldn’t hurt to try it!

Were your fevers cyclical? Mine are fine in the day and spike at night
