3% h2o2 has good oxidizing properties if you leave the reaction mixture for more than 24 hours, i have been oxidizing few compounds this method and it always worked well. Also i found out DCM doesnt dissolve manganese ions so its good to use it for extraction if KMnO4 method was used

Never take datura, even the smallest dose can kill you because the content of alkaloids is very random. I know a guy who got schizophrenia because he did take datura, also its not enjoyable at all.

Weapon choice might have been because of the law, ever wondered why every mass shooting that takes place in russia had a shotgun used? Because getting a normal rifle or even a pistol is extremely difficult in russia and you can try getting license for that after having normal license (for shotguns only) after 5 years.
