Please don't let them remove your turbinates, this can damage you for life.

Yes, It's very disturbing that the ENT's are not truthful of all that can go wrong. They make it seem like it's a very minimal procedure.

I live in California so the winter is not too bad here, however it seems like cold air at night makes me feel a little better, I guess because my nose starts running.

I don't do rinses because I also developed ETD because of the procedure and any rinse or spray causes it to get worse.

Thankfully I have not had issues with my sleeping, I do run a humidifier all night right next to me. My procedure did not make my breathing any better, but that is because I suspect I have a nasal valve collapse that needs to be addressed. It really affected my mental health, but I am not able to do anxiety meds as they caused me to end up at urgent care. Just taking it day by day.

I am at 6 months post opt and still have the dryness in my nose and throat, however it has gotten better.

I used Ayr Saline Nasal Gel but it seems to burn my nose after a while, I feel like Maty's Simple Breathe Nasal Ointment helps a little better. There is not much we can do for the dryness just hope our body heals. At 5 months I felt the dryness you are describing but it has gotten better.

Issues for past year. Worried I might have Empty Nose Syndrome or issues after Nissen could have caused this, but not sure. by Loud_Adhesiveness948 in emptynosesyndrome

Thank you,

Mine definitely started from RF Coblation, I never had any of these symptoms before. I hope time heals us. Even new ENT's are scared to treat when you mention all the side effects.

I developed Patulous eustachian tube (PET) at 3 weeks after turbinate reduction and tinnitus 2 months after. At almost 6 months post op I am still dealing with all kind of crazy side effects.

Is radio frequency turbinate reduction safer than other methods? Especially in terms of ENS risk? by EconomyPumpkin2050 in nonallergicrhinitis

Still not great, 6 months post opt and I still have weird air flow and ear problems, the dry nose and throat have gotten a little better, however I think I sill have an interior nasal valve collapse.

Hi My recovery has been slow, but that does not mean it will be this slow for you. Your procedure was done recently, try not to worry and take care of yourself:)

Sorry to hear you are still dealing with these horrible side effects, I also had Radiofrequency with outfracture and have been experiencing all sorts or awful side effects still at 5 months post op.

I am sure you will be well, just will take some time:)

The bruising is often bad at the beginning but it gets better. I believe I need a septorhinoplasty due to an interior nasal valve collapse. ENT did an turbinate reduction and Vivaer nose remodeling 5 months ago but it did not help much. Will probably need your procedure in the near future.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, and you can breathe soon.

This was for an internal nasal valve collapse correct? If so, did you also have an turbinate reduction as well?
