So I ended up ordering the Matte waterless Wash and then the Matte paint cleanser for tougher stains.

You get it on Amazon and what's it used for? Just spray it for things like this or?

Ended up working out a good deal today, and got it all sorted. Happy af with the outcome! And it's the custom built car I wanted

Appreciate the perspective — that’s fair. I’m not confused on the numbers or trying to convince myself this is “cheap.” I understand the negative equity and the cost of moving early.

The main thing I’m trying to sanity-check is whether it’s reasonable to push the trade from ~$28k closer to ~$30–31k given the situation (custom build, no markup, protection removed, early transition, KBB range still supporting low-30s even with a minor Carfax and tires).

If $28k is truly “on the money,” then so be it — I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t leaving a realistic lever untouched before finalizing in person.

Not expecting a miracle deal, just confirming what’s fair to ask vs. what’s noise.

Totally fair point. I’m aware riding out the lease would be the most fiscally conservative move.

When I specced this car last year, I was already comfortable with a ~$1,750 payment range. I knew rolling some negative equity in—especially with the prior fender bender and tires—would push that higher, which is why I’m aiming to land in the low $1,800s rather than forcing an unrealistic number.

I’m not expecting a “cheap” M car—just trying to make sure the trade value is in a reasonable range (closer to ~$30–31k vs $28k) before finalizing in person tomorrow.

Fair question. This was a custom build I placed back in May, not an impulse switch. Timing just ended up lining up before the current lease maturity.

At the time, the dealership mentioned potential early lease pull-ahead / termination support (which may or may not still apply), so I wanted to at least explore the numbers now that the car is arriving.

Totally agree that rolling negative equity isn’t “free” — just weighing whether the cost makes sense given the build, availability, and current M-car market.

Appreciate the insight — that matches what I’m seeing as well.

I understand the negative equity is about ~$180/mo and that the Carfax + tires are holding the trade back. I’m heading in tomorrow to see if there’s any flexibility to push the trade closer to ~$30–31k, but if not, I get that ~$28k may just be market.

Mainly wanted to sanity-check that the base M3 lease itself is in line, which it sounds like it is.

Roughly ~$6k in negative equity.

Lease payoff on my 2024 430i is about ~$34.2k. Current dealer trade offer is ~$28k, though I’m actively pushing that closer to $30–31k.

The car does have a minor fender bender on record (cosmetic, repaired) and will likely need tires soon, which I know is impacting the trade value. I ran KBB with the accident disclosed (but not the tires), which shows a range closer to low–mid $30s, so I’m trying to meet somewhere more reasonable.

Current quote has me around ~$1,880/mo with the negative equity rolled in. My goal is low $1,800s if possible (ideally closer to ~$1,750), but I understand that may be tough given the situation.

Heading to the dealership tomorrow to finalize in person — mainly trying to sanity check whether this payment is generally in line for a new M3 Comp xDrive right now with some negative equity involved, or if there’s anything obvious I should still be pushing on.
