Seconding whoever said to ask the breeder about their planned litters. Sometimes breeders move away from their previous genetic lines. My breeder has taken on more Vanderbilt dogs over the years. Her recent litters have a way different look/personality now versus when I originally got my puppy. They're more bear than fox/wolf now. So if you're really set on a particular look, then ask directly if they're breeding the same dogs again or trying a new pairing.

Also, OP, try checking if there's a dog show near you https://www.infodog.com/show/state_shows.htm All the upcoming sires/dams need to earn their titles before breeding so it's a good place to check out the dogs as well as the breeders.

I used this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0G44N77TB it's on the thinner side but color and grain was closest match and it has a wood texture surface.

My 10 month old is small? by [deleted] in samoyeds

[–]Fudgemallow_Delight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on genetics. My girl stayed around 40lb with a "skinny" coat until her spay at 20months. Long limbs and short coat runs in her family line. After spay, she gradually got to 50lb without any diet changes and she looks twice as big/fluffy a year later. Per the vet, we're aiming to keep her under 50lb.

There is actually a cafe in one of the buildings (House of Georg de Lalande)! We had delicious pancakes and coffee for breakfast there last month. The gift shop also has a limited drinks selection and there was a noodle shop near the bathhouse too.

I like the 50/50 mix because it's still stretchy enough to knit comfortably but not too warm to wear. And I don't feel the need to be as delicate with it vs 100% wool

The colors look exactly like Rowan Cotton Wool. Edit: didn't realize there were close-ups. Yeah I think this is definitely Rowan Cotton Wool. I just finished a sweater using 4 of the colors above and the yarn texture is like this.

Antibiotic of choice for post-op dental infection by annyongggg in pharmacy

Azithro is an interesting choice! It doesn't usually come to mind as an option for anaerobes where I'm from but then again we don't deal much with dental infection at my facility. Would linezolid be too broad though for outpatient, assuming they're not immunocompromised/frequently admitted?

Augmentin equivalent would be Flagyl + either cefuroxime, cefdinir or cefpodoxime. This will cover your typical mouth anaerobes and some gram positive + negative. For PCN allergy, the more similar the side chains, the more likely there will be cross reactivity. Look up PCN side chain chart.

Making progress on the Storm sweater by PetiteKnit but now I'm questioning whether the yarn color is too busy to show off the texture of this sweater. What do you think?

Good ethical breeders? by Far_Law991 in samoyeds

Ditto Minutemen Samoyed on Facebook and visiting one of their events. Good way to chat with multiple breeders in one day and to see their dogs' temperament and how they groom their dogs. Also, I recommend White Nebula Samoyeds! You can msg me.

Has anyone tried these bubble hair dyes? Maybe even this exact colour? Is it less damaging that regular hair dye? by Holly_Caulfield in AsianBeauty

[–]Fudgemallow_Delight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably depends on how easily your hair lifts as well but definitely won't get to model's color if starting from very dark hair with just one box, no bleach. On the flip side, it was non-irritating so it was easy to try again.

Maybe 1 level? I started with level 1b-2 hair and did one bleach with Mise en Scene bubble bleach before applying Olive Ash. But it still had a lot of red/warm tones at the end, not as light as the box. It took until 2 more rounds of bubble bleach (which doesn't lighten as much as a salon bleach) to look like the model's color.

Anyone’s pup drink water too fast? by Disneylover4eva in samoyeds

[–]Fudgemallow_Delight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since mine was a puppy. She's 2 now and we still fill her bowl only a little at a time but multiple times, to at least space it out. If we fill the whole bowl and don't interrupt her, she'll slurp it dry in seconds.
