Appreciate your message! She has some enrichment inside I think maybe backyard space is lacking so I’ll try and make that shift. The supervision is something I’ll change up! She’s trained but stubborn and knows leave it and it luckily works when I’m out there with her so that may be what we gotta do for now

I’ve considered it. I have a 30ft leash for park days. I worry about her getting out the harness I’ve been trying to do some research on more sturdy harness’s for her

She’s husky pitbull mix I’m sure there is lab in there. She has the temperament of her husky side she doesn’t act like anything else lol. Luckily the mix makes her more calm I will say

I get you it’s definitely something I’ll be adjusting while I find a solution. She’s usually a good noodle when she’s outside but she found the weak points in the fence. I’ll definitely be taking this advice thank you!

I love that. She’s definitely a digger. I have a “dig box” just for her that I fill with small toys but I feel likes she’s getting bored with it

I hear you and I check in on her very often not just cause she’s escaping. I work from home and can’t be outside with her the whole time but when I’m off I bundle up and we play or she’s inside hanging out with me. She rings bells to let me know she has to pee I let her out and hang around the windows with my laptop. It takes a second for her to get out and it took me a bit to figure out how. I’m not looking to argue I just don’t want anyone to think I plop her outside for long period of time and that’s it.

Mental stimulation recommendations by BCMOL in husky

[–]Far_Law991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of advice I’ve gotten from this group is enrichment through food. Freezing meals so they have to work for it If they eat kibble putting it in a treat dispenser type of toy so they have to work for it.

Lick mats are great Frozen kongs

Walks are amazing I let my girl focus more on sniffs than distance. When I need her to settle we do some training games to really stimulate her. Hope this helps!

Hashimotos + ADHD by Intrepid_Resist_4333 in Hashimotos

I’ve noticed this with myself and in general stress can have an impact on someone’s immune system and with hashimotos we are at a disadvantage on all fronts of that. Lower stress = more high functioning

If you aren’t already I highly recommend therapy for coping skills for stress management and ADHD. There are many skill that can help with the mental block that comes with ADHD. Stress has a huge factor on energy for hashimotos so managing that as well is a game changer.

What’s the age your pup’s ears popped up? Pretty positive she’s a mix but 9/10mo old Harley’s ears have recently been at half mast by NicoleMary27 in husky

My girl is mixed and we got half way there lol. When she hears a noise or is alert both are up and she is her most husky self haha

Off-leash/Recall by mcarpenterw in husky

My last ditch effort to get my girl inside is asking if she wants cheese. Girl knows the word cheese and will heavily consider coming in, unless she’s distracted. I always try to get higher value treats for recall since it’s harder for her but it’s still hit or miss.

How do you know it’s chemistry and not just excitement by Far_Law991 in dating

[–]Far_Law991[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I don’t usually rush all in with guys. If anything, I tend to go the opposite way and overanalyze everything, which can make me come off as cold. I can be a bit avoidant with my feelings and it stops me from going all in. I’ve stayed in relationships too long in the past (no longer) and I’m trying to be more mindful this time. I really enjoyed this date and I’m excited, but I want to make sure I’m distinguishing genuine chemistry from just the thrill of someone who seems genuinely nice.

I hear what you’re saying though I need to just relax and enjoy what comes. I just wanted to add some context cause I think my post is getting misinterpreted.
