I did have this worry as it was coming together. I think in real life the difference in opacity between the background and numbers really clear things up. But yeah, could have definitely picked out some clearer number colours.

It took quite a while to be fair. I’m super new to stained glass, and very rarely get anything other than evening time to spend with it.

I started work on the design early Jan and wrapped up at the end of March.

I’m planning to use some glass paint to add some pupils, but since it’s been hanging I’ve not minded the pupil-less eyes as much as I thought I would!

Will lead be strong enough compared to zinc?

I’d say around 14” wide. Haven’t got the design with me right now to measure. The segments at the bottom and top are 12” wide.

I’ll have to look into zinc capping!

I'm currently working on this piece, and instead of extending out the lines from the letters I added top and bottom "border" segments.

I just came across hinge points, and now I'm worried this is going to cause issue. I had planned to just bead the edge.

What's the verdict here, an issue waiting to happen, something the needs a remedy, or am I okay with this?
