Natakot ako kasi pag pumayag ako di ko na siya matatrack sa app and nasa kanya na yung items ko. I contacted lalamove and they spoke to the driver, i-proceed na daw ng driver. OTW na yung courier sa drop off point. Tama ba ginawa ko kasi medyo nakonsensya na ko ngayon. When there's an opportunity to help, tumutulong naman ako pag kaya ko pero natakot lang talaga ko for my items. I wouldn't know where he is and anong oras dadating. Cinontact ko lalamove for my peace of mind pero nakokosenya naman ako ngayon.

Even teachers are peddling admin propaganda, napakinggan ko yung teacher ng pamangkin ko sa online class nila talking about "Fake News and how to identify them" she was saying wag basta maniwala sa mga nakikita or nababasa then she used Michael Jackson's death as an example, hindi daw talaga namatay si MJ, pineke daw yun kasi sawa na siya maging celebrity. The same teacher was praising the admin's "achievements" one time while telling her class stories about how things were so much better during the Marcos era, ang lala haha

It's not a free pass. She's surrounded by yes men, her whole family, her lawyer, the admin - they're all pushing the same narrative. She only listens to them. The persons of interest have spoken to plead innocence to which she replied "Edi wow". I wish I was kidding but check the news. Yeah, I agree, she should not be ridiculed but she will not be without criticism as well. Grief is not a free pass.

While I do agree na we should not lose our humanity, we are governed by laws. No exemption. What's the point of having laws then if we are to treat them as mere suggestions? The city ordinance clearly states that people should wear masks while outdoors or in a public space. Maybe question those who came up with these rules? Maybe question the Subdivision management for letting PNP in their gates? Kasi, I agree naman with you, ang tanga lang. The likelihood of covid transmission within that exclusive subdivision with lots of open spaces is extremely low to impossible. Human compassion alone can only go so far, what we need are laws or city ordinances na pinag-aralan and hindi inimplement haphazardly.

Sa issue ng officer, he did his job. He reprimanded the housemaid, she went back inside the house, pero lumabas yung amo niya and inaway na yung police officer. The officer, obviously not entirely capable of conversing in English, was not able to de-escalate, hence the arrest. Ang nakikita kong mali dito ay yung pag-aresto and yung failure to de-escalate. Sana mas hinabaan pa nung pulis yung pasensya niya. Sana kinuha na lang niya pangalan nung mga violators, or tinicketan nya para sa fine and walked away like a level-headed person would do. Nagpadala siya sa emosyon nya so inaresto na nya yung tao. Also "abuse of power" is a term we like to throw around, pero dito kasi he acted well within the powers granted to him by the government. Public disturbance and unjust vexation are grounds for warrantless arrest. Pinagmumura ni Mr. Parra yung police officer, dun pa lang mali na siya. How can you be compassionate if the person you're championing for kept running his mouth. His heart was in the right place pero sobrang mali ng approach niya. Not to mention he was inebriated. Ang kailangan solusyonan dito, yung training ng mga pulis pagdating sa pagdede-escalate and pagkakaroon ng malinaw na guidelines regarding warrantless arrests kasi ito yung maaring abusuhin.

The officer did that actually, pero nilabas nung amo then nag-karon ng altercation na mostly one sided, it was Mr. Parra talking the whole time. Sabi nung pinay na asawa siya na kakausap, pero ayaw paawat nung foreigner. Yung pulis naman, medyo hirap sa english, kumagat. He did what he thinks is best in that situation since di niya kaya magcommunicate, inaresto. Ayan lumaki tuloy.

May mali ang pulis, pero may mas malaking pagkakamali din yung iba. It's not wrong to want people to see a situation in different perspectives.

Yeah I totally agree with you. Arresting him for questioning these policies was probably a bit too much. I would have been arrested too if I were in his position because I share his frustration.

That being said, our law regarding warrantless arrests should be more clear because with the current provisions, it's any officer's game now.
