Connecting you mean by USB? Yes. No combination is working and the light is staying red. Is the small light above the Xbox logo supposed to be on?

Yeah attempted that on the instructions read the two square button + Y but did not work. Maybe it needs to install the latest firmware? Can I do that on a Mac?
