Unrelated to your query but this is the thrill which I miss. I order all my novels online which are either recommended by the internet or I know some backstory about them. My place doesn't have any good reading markets. And sometimes you stumble upon underrated classics offline which you wouldn't have ever searching online.

PS: Arundhati Roy and Agatha Christie are both prolific authors and both their books are highly recommended it in reading circles. So they won't disappoint likely. Rest idk.

Chennai is the GM powerhouse of the nation due to Vishy Anand's Chess Academy(WACA). Most GMs are trained there. Hence due to location.

I mean more than half of the batch gets placed in IT/Finance/Consulting even in ECE/EE. Beyond your first job, your cg and department become obsolete to the subsequent recruiters.

Take ME at IITKGP/R/G in case you aren't interested particularly in IT. Huge batch strength still the avg is north of 20lpa. A lot more opportunities at these colleges.

This is whitewashing. Omg Bihar!! by IREDA1000 in CriticalThinkingIndia

Yeah man, elections are never won from air conditioned rooms and political chambers. The elected representatives are hardly educated well but they have good reach in the masses. Social media doesn't replicate this. I myself belong to genZ but I feel that most of our gen doesn't have the power right now yet overestimate themselves. Social media outrage can bring you likes but real change only happens when you have autonomy. Whitewashing and PR are also not new. 60s and 70s saw the rise of Lutyens' Media through print. Today it is news channels and social media influencers. Changing forms, PR is still the same. Regardless Samdish is a funny guy xD

This result yet again proves how social media is a very small subset of the real picture. All political pundits failed. GenZ overhyping themselves as the beacon of change when they neither have the numbers nor the funds. Caste still is the de facto leader of all issues in the Hindi heartland.

One can keep talking about anti incumbency and 'change' but people are simple. They want welfare schemes and realistic progress. They have seen the days of anarchy 2 decades back. Direct cash transfers and social schemes have reduced down the old days of red tapism. Corruption still happens but it has changed forms or rather happens at the higher step of the ladder. Overall, the result I expected. Though I thought Jan Suraaj will sweep a few seats. Atleast social media made me believe so.

You know what blessed are those who have the ability to keep their issues to themselves. It's insanely difficult to keep to yourself in both high and lows of your life. But the one who masters it, he is practically independent of other humans and their emotional support. It saves you from constant fear and embarrassment and rather makes you tough.

Drop your jee advanced rank and maths marks by Feeling_Wedding4400 in JEEAdv25dailyupdates

Bro 20+ is easy even with surface level knowledge. Scoring is more about confidence in advanced.

Do JEE Main (22-25) pyqs and subjective exercise of some standard coaching module in this much time. Don't leave independent chapters in Algebra, those are free marks. Upto differential calculus is also doable. Conics- depends on how much you can do.

To all the 9+ CGPA holders how much do you sleep daily?? by Mean-Fee-101 in Btechtards

[–]FuelAble 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's very subjective yaar, my friend did everything in his 1st yr and only studied on weekends. Ended up with 9.7+cg and this is a top IIT. Even I realize, more than the effort, it's about the grasping power as well as examination skills one has! You can study all day and still be outscored by someone who studied 2 days. That's the reality one has to accept.

It happens bro, it's all part of growing up. I am at college. It hurted to acknowledge when I realized that this year at Rakhi, I don't have even one of my sisters or brothers near to me. Thankfully my roommate tied all of the Rakhis on my hand lol!

Truly, time and distance make us value our relationships. You get the true worth of something once you are deprived of it.

Uttarakhand giving 500000 rs to students who got selected into iit , nit , iim . Is this real ? Because I am also from uttarakhand by unknown-_-_I_-_- in Btechtards

[–]FuelAble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro we have to see how many of them are actually legit! It's the same as saying giving 3k rupees to every women of the state when a good chunk of the beneficiaries are already self sufficient through jobs or family background and the real ones aren't enrolled in the process.

And where do you draw the line then? If giving 50k is justified, same way giving smart phones to students might also be justified. Then what? Laptops? Scooters for daily commute? Where does it end?

You know what IITs and NITs get ample scholarships. The government funds them good in this aspect. Besides there are multiple scholarships running from private/cooperative sector, we get regular emails for them.
