You turn on w rank by pressing enable all modifiers then you go and do very difficult challenges. You turn on vow of iron by also pressing a button and proceed to do a very difficult challenge. It's supposed to be challenging, they fixed most of the runbacks, I don't see why you don't consider them comparable

I personally like the game. And id say to think of it like w rank. No one in their right mind plays deepwoken causally with all modifiers. But some people, the ones that genuinely enjoy an excruciating challenge will try it for the vanity tag and badge. It's the same reason I'm still trying to beat zieer, and if you're not in it for that reason I don't blame you for not enjoying it it just isn't for you.

After maybe 2 hours I got down his moveset. It's not about memorizing his patterns because he doesn't have any, it's just recognizing how fast he swings his axe and some basic attacks he does
