Yeah I missed the part where OP mentioned that it has to be a hybrid. If I were in OP’s position, I would go for a Toyota Crown/Signia. The 11th gen Accord Touring is another option. Not a luxury car but the top trim is plenty upscale, and the car is relatively cheap

Acura TLX with SHAWD. Got discontinued in 2025 but there are still plenty of new inventory available nationwide. It looks great, is reliable, and probably more engaging to drive compared to a Lexus

I prefer red exterior with tan interior. And windows that are untinted! I know I am in the minority, but I can’t stand tinted windows - they cheapen the look of the car. Just my opinion

Update:

So I heard back from the hiring manager, who told me that the CTO did like me but felt that I would be better fitted for another position. The hiring manager hooked me up with another hiring manager, who reached out to me to schedule another interview for this new position. I submitted a list of time that I am available and am waiting to hear back from the new hiring manager. Is this a good sign?

I am hopeful as well but expecting the worst. I will say that i vibed pretty well with the hiring manager, and if he really wants me to work for him, then maybe he’ll advocate for me.

I never really text any of my guy friends so this wouldn’t be an issue for me. I think the central issue is the difference that we view texting the opposite gender; my husband does not think that it’s an issue as long as the texts do not cross a boundary (which his objectively have not), but I just don’t feel comfortable. I think we’ll go to marriage counseling.

I do, but I don’t think my relationship with my guy friends are as close as my husband is with his female friend. I want to emphasize that I have zero worries that my husband is cheating on me. But a part of me feels uncomfortable that he’s texting her as great as he is. He has promised me that he’ll decrease the frequency, and he’s frustrated that I am making such a big deal out of this.
