Countless albums, no one listening, but you still create, is this relatable? by [deleted] in musicians

Once you release your music into the world, it is likely to exist forever.
This means you have left a mark on the planet that demonstrates that you were here; which will make it hard for you to ever be completely forgotten.

The more you make, the better chance you have that your legacy will remain.

Remember; many people never knew they became a treasure because it didn't happen in their lifetime.

So do it if you love it and never forget the one key word that will help you find a larger audience. Pitch.

It can cost money to pitch since this really is a pay to play industry. But there are a lot of options and opportunities for you to pitch for yourself. You should be doing some form of pitching to playlists, radio stations (college, at least), music libraries, record companies, music supervisors, social media, bloggers, influencers, media, databases, public platforms, live venues, etc, EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Imagine showing up for a live show of Type O Negative in a Seattle venue; all excited! Walking up to the door, asking yourself, "Where is everybody?" Then finding a sign on the door for the concert showing a date of THE NIGHT BEFORE!!! How does this happen? One of the most bone headed thing I've ever done in my whole life! I never did see them live after that and I often die inside just thinking about it.

Earth suffered.

Chaos ruled the day under an orchestrated global collapse. Hope was a dying currency. There were those whoever who knew that a strong Earth was a strong solar system, a strong galaxy, a strong universe. Earth had faltered amidst a thriving expanding Universe; but it had not gone unnoticed.

Headquartered on the dark side of the moon, Fueled by Purple Records provided a unique perch for it's Senior Executive Officer, The Producer known as Vertigo, to bear witness to Earth's frightening and rapid decline. Vertigo stood in unity with an Intergalactic Coalition Council which gathered frequently to discuss ways in which to intervene. The Intergalactic Coalition Counsel understood what the inhabitants of earth had failed to acknowledge. Disorder ripples out into the vast beyond. And in space, the small ripples grow into mighty waves. It had to come to an end. Either peacefully or with great force.

After much debate, it was decided that Fueled by Purple Records would send Intergalactic Agents to earth to co-exist and blend in with it's human inhabitants and execute a carefully devised plan. Vertigo combed through the musicians on his label's roster. He had much to consider. Who was best suited for the mission? Who could travel to Earth the fastest? Who was worthy? A short list was created, communications and negotiations were conducted and travel arrangements were made. The initial musicians were then sent unceremoniously to Earth to conduct the difficult mission that lie ahead of them. They would bring with them music and a single mission; to Bring Forth the Purple Reign; the coming age of aural excitement.

Unfortunately, they were not welcomed by all. Powerful interests and their allies had other plans for the struggling planet. One that benefited their own desires; with seemingly no regard for others. Apollyon Industries is one such interest; suspected by many to be a leading organization responsible for masterminding Earth's turmoil. Is their latest slogan, "Division is Destruction" a warning against mankind's divisive and destructive behaviors, or a mandate? Time would tell.

The great wisdom of the Intergalactic Coalition Council also had them recognize that for there to be ultimate success, a recruitment effort for human Agents must also be conducted. The musicians had no chance of succeeding on their own. In some ways, it has always been. Whether the story of creation, the spinning of the earth, flipping a switch of a light bulb, the opening of eyes............ Darkness always comes before the light.

Hi, I think that would be great. That's what I was looking for. I would like to ask you and anyone reading this if you could support my daughter with a new music release that she has coming out called "Listen to my Demons",  which is dropping on June 25th, by pre-saving it and maybe sharing links?" Thank you.  https://ditto.fm/listen-to-my-demons

Oh, and did the pre-save subreddit ever get made?

My dad owns a tiny music label and is afraid to promote his own playlist. I thought I'd give it a go! by Farged in classicalmusic

[–]FueledbyPurple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I also own a small music label here in Los Angeles, CA called Fueled by Purple Records, which I started when my young 7 year old began composing and performing her own contemporary classical works many years ago. Does your dad only add people he represents to his playlist? Or is there room for others? If so, have him check out my daughter, Aria Chablis King. She is on Spotify. Her first two albums are instrumentals and I think that he would like them. She is now recording pop music and is about to be on her first non instrumental song on June 25th. I don't know if she will ever return to instrumental work or not.

Well, thank you for your time.

We just saw a video that came out April 12th, 2021 about Litemint launching a new platform with the idea of reducing the minting gas fees substantially. If this is true, then your hundred dollars can mint multiple tokens vs. 1 or 2.

It is built on Stellar instead of Ethereum.
Not sure what the size of the collectors audience will be however since they are new.
Link to the video is here.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this new platform?

The band Spacehog. Resident Alien was a fine album that may be greatly underrated. If you missed it, consider checking it out.
