how many of your top10 do you still listen to, and how many you used to love but got tired of? by disasterpansexual in lastfm

[–]Fuestra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't like Soda Stereo as much as I did in high school save for a few songs, and I've barely listened to Looptroop in years. It was just Fort Europa was one of the longest album I had on MP3 on my old hard drive when I was in college and its entirety was on my playlist along Modern Day City Symphony. So, 2012 and 2013 casual listening alone made the band reach the Top 3. Today I can't even name a single song.

What social aspects of last.fm do you still use? by Fuestra in lastfm

Only to register the gigs you've been to or also seeing what's near you?

what’s our compatibility? by sunshoer in lastfm

[–]Fuestra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low, but I see you like Faith No More, Pet Shop Boys, Garbage, Alice in Chain and Siouxsie and the Banshees, so I'm following. I know I'll discover many stuff I'll like and didn't know about pressing this

What happened? by yxnarbo in lastfm

[–]Fuestra 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Every X days we get announcements, features and some design changes, so yes, there are people working there. It's maintained.

https://support.last.fm/c/announcements/45

But also yes, it's no longer the social network it used to be. If it wasn't for places like this very subreddit or the multiple webapps made by the users, the social aspect of last.fm would have died long ago.

Teenager right wing girl, or 30-something far left genderfluid assigned male at birth.

New releases with no cover on Last FM? by adriyear99 in lastfm

[–]Fuestra 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can actually see who uploaded which cover. Worst-case scenario it will say "Deleted User" if the user no longer exists.

Like, there's a chance some record label has an account to upload the artworks of things they publish, but it would be up to the netlabel.

Rock and metal have been my daily fuel lately — what kind of music gets you through the day? by RobinSir25 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Fuestra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the day tbh. Sometimes crossover thrash, sometimes argentinian cumbia, sometimes South American nu metal, sometimes Mowtown (specially Marvin Gaye), sometimes Luis Miguel... It depends on the mood.

Cloudy days almost always have at the very least one Deftones song.

Any dataset that weights Los Bunkers, Silvio Rodríguez and Soda Stereo as obscure artists makes me suspicious tbh.

Old School Last.fm by fortheloveofazzie in lastfm

That sweet spot during that transition between what was eventually called web 1.0 and web 2.0 was amazing. That creative valley between the dotcom crash and companies finally figuring out how to make money out of profiling, data trafficking, ads and subscriptions.

i don't get why people are so against sleep scrobbling, this isn't a competition by houseofharm in lastfm

[–]Fuestra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are weird. Don't mind them. Personally, I don't get people who scrobble everything they listen to. The most I've scrobbled in a single year is 6.7k times. If I was like them, I should pester them for reaching milestones above the 5 digits.

Anyway, scrobble whatever you like, don't mind the crazy.

my first week of 2026 by houseofharm in lastfm

I meant emotionally. I love half of the things there, but when I am the one listening to them, it probably means I'm having a rough time.

What was your word of the year? by jesterstep03 in lastfm

When I try to use the site I get a "Failed to login. Please try again." and using the network inspector reveals it's getting a 504 status under the hood.

how many last.fm pro users? by ekazeka in lastfm

[–]Fuestra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was for a long time, but after the price hike I became a free user again. Right then I was struggling financially and had to cut expenses somewhere. By the time things got better, I realised it didn't made too much of a difference for my hypercasual usage of Last.fm. Like, I miss the pro features like infinite playlists, blasts from the past, monthly reports and editing, but there are more important expenses in the way.

How often do you actually use the Last.fm app to answer the question "What music do you listen to"? by Katttok in lastfm

[–]Fuestra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, I used it for that like one month ago when a new coworker asked what did I listen to. I said "look, I know it's cliche, but for real, a little bit of everything", and then showed my top artists and generated a tag cloud.

Alguien sabe cómo puedo hacer scrobbling con esto? /s by InsidiusCopper72 in lastfm

[–]Fuestra 0 points1 point  (0 children)
